when i underwent an open chole surgery..almost 100thou ang binayaran pero cinover sya ng healthcard.

and intellicare has a very wide range of accredited hospitals, clinics, doctors.

im currently using HMI, so far ok naman yung services nila, during check-up diretso ka na agad sa hospital, where you currently accredited, but in time of emergency, any hospital pwede kang pumunta, papakita mo lang yung card para ma-irefer ka nila s HMI accredited doctors, un nga lang di covered ang vaccine ni baby....

From my experience.. pinaka magandang HMO is Intellicare, madaming accredited doctors and hassle free ang service.. next is maxicare, madami ring accredited doctors mahirap nga lang tumawag sa hotline nila, like my dad was confined holiday around 11pm, walang sumasagot sa phone nila so medyo nalate ng onti yung doctor.. but anything else is ok..

our company's HMO is philam care, sobrang hassle.. onti pa ng accredited doctors and kainis pagbayaran na.. one time, yung officemate ko nahospitalize yung baby niya.. card holder din.. they made them pay tas reimburse sa philam.. hassle diba..

just want to share, had a minor operation last april and the bill went around 60k sa makati med. phone bill lang binayaran ko worth P3 ata un :D  tas covered pa sa company namin ang maternity but with ceiling amount pero ok na rin pambawas din sa gastusin. i availed this maternity package before i had my operation last march. un sa maternity package, i believe this still depends on the package your company agreed with your HMO.

fyi na rin, if you are an individual plan holder, pre-existing conditions are not covered unlike if it will be taken as a group or as a company benefit... na wala ng pre-existing conditions. i believe this goes true for all HMO companies. pre-existing conditions are illnesses you already have before they had you covered.

tama sabi ng mga mommies... it's good that you have at least one HMO card for you and your loved ones. mahirap na magkasakit sa hirap ng buhay ngayon.
