My daughter had her 1st birthday party at McDo Festival mall just last month.  we chose McDo over Jollibee kasi mas mababa ang advance payment required sa McDo e.  Pero we got to choose our own cake naman (kasi hindi ganun kaganda yung cake ng McDo, honestly).

Had my son's 1st bday party at McDonald's El Pueblo last Aug 14. super fun sya, kaso 1.5hrs lang so i had to get 2 slots ok lang kc twice the amenities din naman,  medyo bias talaga ako sa Mcdo in terms of food and toys. :)

Actually, hindi kay baby na birthday party ang cinelebrate namin sa Mcdo, it was my Mom's surprise 50th birthday party.

I was planning sa Mcdo Retiro but I wanted to have Kid Mcdo as our mascot. I was referred to Mcdo Quezon Ave (beside Max's and Aberdeen Court) kasi complete daw characters nila dun. We just made reservations for 35pax lang kasi family lang naman. We advised them na it will be a surprise birthday party so we made specific instructions upon booking like dapat off ang lights sa party hall tapos adult party siya so yung mga games and prizes more on pang matanda sana. My Mom's bday is Nov 1. Unfortunately, nagkasakit baby ko and a day before the party, na confine. Inexplain namin what happened and I am very pleased na hindi nila ko pinahirapan. OO agad sila. No ifs no buts. We re scheduled the party the following Saturday and I am very happy sa turn out ng party.

And the best part, they gave us two mascots instead of 1! Kid Mcdo and Birdie! Kaya sulit na sulit!

yes, sis mas mura sa mcdo.

the good thing about mcdo is you can have a party for as little as 10 people, as long as you pay the party fee. P2k ata yun. you have the venue to yourself for about 1.5 hours and may mascot na yun. pero sabi sa bluewave, case to case basis daw yung konti ang guests. no minimum order required (kaya nga pwede 10 lang), basta pay the party fee. no specific basic kiddie food to buy, para sa guests mo.

if you have other games, they would help you facilitate it pa rin. you can bring additional prizes/games para mas fun.

we had my dad's 70th bday there, and super saya. we were less than 30people, pero ok pa rin, better nga kasi maliit lang yung venue. they stuck to my bilin naman not to make "kantyaw" si daddy for having to celebrate his bday there, kasi ultra conservative yun, baka biglang mag-walk out. maganda naman yung party. my dad smiled a lot, and laughed a lot during the games.

ang success din ng party is not only with the venue, but the general feeling of love among the guests, kung pano sila ka-game, and kung gano ka-close sa celebrant.

all in all, ok na at mcdo. you need not worry about the host, the clown, the souvenirs, the games...magpapa-headcount ka na lang.

We also throw MCDo birthday party (thanksgiving party sya actually kasi nagkaron na kami ng son) last Dec 20. Sa orphanage sya ginawa.  Nagbayad lang ako ng food plus party fee, then sinundo ko staff nila going to the Orphanage.
Nakaka touch kasi all the crews played with the orphans. Tapos nung time na hinatid namin sila..they thank us pa kasi daw nabigyan namin sila ng chance makapagpasaya ng bata.

We had 150 guests. All in all masaya ang party, lahat nag enjoy pati mga matatanda.

mga sis, hindi ba mahigpit ang mcdo sa theme? kasi gusto ko sana sa mcdonald's na lang magparty ang baby ko kaya lang ang problema ko Barney ang theme namin baka hindi sila pumayag na magpasok ng mga items na Barney like name tags, hats, tarp, etc. nung 1st birthday kasi ng baby ko sa jollibee jan kami nagkaproblema (well that's another story ;) ) what do you think mommies?

@babybubot - thanks so much for replying sis. dapat kasi talaga sa KFC yung party ng baby ko kaya lang sabi ng store manager hindi pa daw ako pwede magpabook dahil baka daw closed na sila by January (birthday ng baby ko is jan 26, 2011) kaya i am considering mcdonald's na lang. sana nga pumayag sila para wala na akong problema.  :)
