Hi mga mommies,

Any suggestion on what foods can I give to my baby. She's turning 8 months na this August 5. I'm presently giving her Cerelac 2 times a day, minsan gerber, and minsan din sopas, lugaw, mashed banana with milk or mashed papaya, and sympre yung milk niya. Any other foods na suited sa kanya? Pra kasing nakukulanga ako sa mga binibigay na foods sa kanya. Siguro dahil I'm a working mom din kasi kaya sa gabi at weekends ko lang talga cia natututukan.

hope you cna help me guys on this.

Thanks!

Hi Sis!

@princess23 same baby natin, 8 months na din sya nitong July 26...as for her medyo madaming type na akong napapakain...for breakfast cerelac siya, nakaka 5 scoops siya nun...pag lunch gaya kanina na ampalaya yung ulam namin, aun pinakain din siya, make sure lang na mashed...actually if mga ganung gulay at may sabaw pinakakain ko na din sya talaga ng kanin...tapos bread sa merienda or marie biscuits....sa fruits banana, apple, avocado and the likes...tyaga lang sis saka medyo mag iba tayo ng menu...pwede na din siya sis ng fish..favorite ng baby ko un ;)

for my 7month old son, i'm giving him mashed pumpkin, potatoes, bananas, apple and other fruits and vegetables--all natural food :) even my eldest son didn't have a chance to take cerelac or gerber, I don't have nothing against those. I just prefer giving my children fresh and natural food, yun nga lang medyo matagal iprepare kasi you have to boil and mash pa.. ;)

my baby turned 4 months nung Sept.

hello sis, may nabasa ako na you can only introduce kay baby ang carrots pag 6 months na siya because of the nitrate content, the best way to prepare this is to steam para ma-retain yung nutrients niya, then you can blend it but don't use yung water na pinag steam-an niya.

sis try mo yung sinabi ni sis hon3ykow..or try mo sa gerber they have baby foods in small bottles para ma-test mo if ready na si baby for food..on your first try kahit mga 2 table spoon lang muna then small amount of water every intake para hindi sya mabigla..usually sa infants morning and afternoon lang muna ang kain nila but if this is the first time na pakakainin mo sya, kahit morning lang muna. . if ok kay baby you may start introducing other varieties din as he gets older. . basta as of ow soft foods lang muna and small amounts. . if cerelac, 1 spoonful is enough muna kasi pag tinimplahan mo na yun dadami din..and remember to discard any unfinished food ni baby  :)

Hi Mommy twinkle.star! According to my baby's Pedia, cereal daw muna 1st mo introduce na solid food kay baby para madali adjustment ng kanyang tummy.

Si baby ko rin, mag-6 months tomorrow.  :)

I introduced semi-solid food sa baby ko 2wks after ng 4th month niya. His pedia gave me a list of the food na pwede na niya kanin and instructed me how to do it na ganitong consistency. Basta pag nag introduce ng new kind of food, wait ng 3 days bago mag introduce nung bago para makita it allergic sa ganito or ganyan. But pedia even made my life easier when she recommended Earth's Best, an organic prepared food for babies. Same packaging ng Gerber.
Tapos in between ng days after ko mag introduce nung new flavor, cerelac na brown rice and milk ang bigay ko muna.

Hi Mommy!

I started introducing my son to solid food at 5 months, first we started with one slice of carrots, steamed it w/o any condiments. It worked for him. We'd give him soft boiled egg yolk every morning and a small slice of fruit for breakfast when he was 5 months. And he loved it! His pedia recommended that we introduce him to vegetables and less sweet fruits before introducing him to food served w/ a little bit of condiments and it worked REALLY well for him :)

Maybe you could also ask your pedia for advice. :)

With my daughter nagstart lang kami with mashed potato, carrots and squash sa morning. At first konti lang talaga eat niya kasi di pa sanay. Basta every morning introduce mo one type of food in one week tapos the other week iba naman para mamonitor mo kung may allergy c baby sa food na inintroduce mo nung week na un.
