Hi I have PCOS for the longest time until now after giving birth last Sept 2010 to a healthy baby boy.

I was taking metformin since I was 23 and I got married last 2008. Due to my illness I had difficulty in conceiving.

But thru my experience, I learn 3 things that works since I can't be pregnant  naturally:

1, Frank and patient but loving (treat you like a friend/relative) OB that you can really relate and build a relationship with.
2. Following your medication and advise of your OB religiously
3 Prayer

After 4th cycle of work-up with my OB Taking 1500 mg of metformin everyday (3x aday), 1500 mg clomid (3x a day for 5days of menstration) and 500 mg of folic acid with the help of praying to God and most especially to ST. PIO  I found out that I was pregnant last January 2010. It was the happiest day in my life.

So sis there no harm in trying.. try and try until you succeed. Because of what had happened to me a became a devotee of ST, PIO. IF you have other question you may PM me.

Hi sis, I was PCOS from the longest time and I gave birth last Sept2010. So I had my period last Jan2011 and eversince bumalik na yun PCOS ko (yun PCOS ko is lagi akong may mens as in 2 times a month 7-10 days pa minsan)

So I had my ultrasound confirmed nga na bumalik ang PCOS ko so I ask my OB since d naman talaga curable ang PCOS so now go with the flow ayaw ko naman magpills at wala naman si hubby (OFW). so lagi ako meron =(

Sabi niya if I want to be pregnant again back to Step 1 kame work-up , Taking clomid, metformin and folic acid plus ang aking top things to do : prayer to ST. PIO =) He grant my prayer and I was blessed with a baby boy =)

Sometimes it helps din if you don't think about getting pregnant anymore. Diba sabi nila the more you pressure yourself mas lalo kang di nabubuntis.  This is exactly what happened to me during my infertility years.  Every time my period came umiiyak talaga ko, and almost every lovemaking, medyo nagiging mechanical na.  Until, yun nga, we stopped trying, got ourselves some dogs and became "nurturing parents" to our "kids."   Ayun, when we weren't expecting.. I got pregnant with no medical intervention.

My cousin said baka daw naging mas relax na uterus ko and naging accomodating kasi lumabas yung nurturing side ko.  Diba madami na tayong kwento na kung kailan nag-adopt na yung isang couple dahil nawalan na nga ng chance magka-anak, saka sila nabibiyayaan?

I'm just so glad lang din that my hubby was very supportive kasi nung time na depressed ako coz hindi ko nga siya mabigyan ng anak, he told me not to thiink about it anymore kasi happy nanaman daw kami kahit kaming 2 lang, so nawala din pressure sa kin. :-)

At some point tama ka sis! kasi from what I read, yung pressure daw na pagkakaroon ng baby is nakakadagdag ng chronic stress sa katawan natin which is nagpapalala lalo sa capacity natin to produce.Kami ni hubby,8 years nagtry, poz lagi heartbroken pag nagkakaron.May times pa nga na nagtatalo na kaming 2 pero as times goes on,nakalimutan na namin yun.We started enjoying ourselves na lang and yun, nagulat na lang kami one day nalaman ko Im preggy!Minsan kasi when you least expect it,lalong nangyayari! ;)

was diagnosed with PCOS just yesterday..a bit disappointed..kahit parang hindi masyadong magaling yung OB eh nakakuha naman ako ng info sa pagiging makulit ko...

according to her: PCOS is not a disease, rather it is a hormonal imbalance..there are some factors that contributes para mahirapan tayo mabuntis..but it is not just because of PCOS....mainly,PCOS women are predispose to diabetes..kaya nga metformin daw ang unang nirereseta...though advise niya eh magkaron ng healthy lifestyle...

i'm praying na soon eh bigyan ako ni god ng magandang gift...

hello mommies...i just want to know ur opinions and get ideas from you... i was diagnosed to have pcos. still single but getting married nx year january. gusto ko sana agad magkababy despite of the condition i have kaya nga consult din naman agad ako sa ob-gyne. bale 2 sila. yung isa kong ob sbi take ako metformin...nagtake nga ako kaso nagstop ako kc im taking althea na. yoko kc umiinom ng umiinom ng maraming gamot. kaya ask ako ng other opinion from another ob. sbi ko gusto ko sana maregular ang period ko. she told me to take althea. so i did. im on my second month of taking that pills. last day ko nga mamaya. bukas free-althea day ko na. since nagtake na ako ng althea di na nga ako nagtake ng metformin. ok lang ba yun?
ano kaya best way to do para mabuntis agad ang pcos patient like me. when should i stop taking althea? please reply...
