behavior is unusual. Should I see a Developmental Pediatrician?
« on: February 05, 2011, 10:53:15 am »

My Pedia advised me to have my baby check  in a SPED. Our Doctor noticed my baby sticks out her tongue always, and i'm so afraid that  she might have abnormalities. She's just 9 mos old... I'm not ready to accept it yet and i'm afraid to consult   :(  I'm struggling...

Momies do you know where to consult?

^SPED sis? that means special education...your baby is too young for sped.  sa developmental pediatrician sis mo siya ipacheck, meron sa medical city. the mommies here recommend dra. tanchangco and others from TMC.
aside from her sticking out her tongue( i'm assuming tongue thrust ito) ano pa napansin mo or ni pedia mo about your baby? if nagta-tongue thrust pa si baby mahirap pa bigyan ng solids kasi ang tendency she'll just spit it out.
God Bless!

my son always do sticks his tongue out. he's 7 months now and i'm worried.. he finds it hard to eat solid foods but we're practicing always. his pedia says he's normal.. just wish it's only a tongue thrusting habit for it can be corrected later on.. so afraid if it is macroglossia and other abnormalities...

I agree with missoni. Have the baby checked by a Developmental Pediatrician. I think there's a list posted in one of the threads on Doctors and their clinic locations. Taga san po ba kayo?

hi mommy JoeShie!

Have you tried bringing your baby to her pedia? I think that's the best thing to do kung medyo alarming na yung condition ng baby sa paggalaw ng ulo niya.
