@mommyl_lorna_gee: before, nung pina-practice ko pa ang OT, we do daily evaluations. Maybe you can ask the OT to provide you those details contrary to the doctor's evaluation for your own peace of mind. I remember pa nga every friday we let the kids bring home their (communication) notebooks, so parents will know their progress. :(

@mommyl_lorna_gee - pa PM naman sakin sino ang Dev Pedia ng baby mo. i could not say we are the same kasi di hamak na mas skillful si aerrol kesa sa eldest ko. admittedly medyo mabagal talaga ang development ng anak ko at may times nagreregress. i'm just curious don sa assessment ng doctor because there are a few similarities to ours. gusto ko lang i-assess on a different situation.

sis errych, for moms like me who can't teach their child on a regular basis and would rely on the therapists' notebook lang... i find it a little difficult kasi if i haven't seen how those drills are done. dummy or idiot's guide kailangan ko.  :D
gusto ko kasi makita how to react, how to prompt, what to say to encourage or reprimand kapag hyper, etc.

also, maybe you can help me with this dilemma. im planning to relocate sa province at walang SP don. would enrolling my son to a school with IEP program compensate speech therapy?  kasi by no means talaga ang Speech therapy don. I can do siguro kami lang at home. with that, i have to search what to teach online pa.

hello mga mommy...good evening.  gusto ko din sana i-share about my 2nd son. he was born to us at 8 mos old. he is now 3 years old, hindi pa nagsasalita. when he was 2 1/2 nakaka count naman na siya 1 to 10, bulol nga lang. pero hanggang dun lang. he babbles a lot, para nga lang chinese hindi maintindihan. he seldom responds when his name is called, pag may kailangan siya, hinihila kami and dadalhin dun sa object. pero before siya nag two years old pina BAER namin siya sa PCMC and they found out na clogged left ear niya, so naayos naman na yun pero di naman nag improve. hyper sya, sobrang likot, he loves playing with his brother naman, naghahabulan, nagkikilitian, sometimes pa nga siya and humihila sa kapatid niya para mag play sila. he hugs us when he feels like it. minsan naman hindi kami pinapansin. mahilig manood ng tv lalo na sa commercials.
dinala namin siya kay dr. dimalanta here in baguio nung feb, diagnosis niya communication disorder to rule out autism. now nag improve naman sya. he is more patient and sometimes when i ask him to repeat a word, he repeats it naman na kaya lang kung ayaw niya, ayaw niya talaga. he was able to say 'open, chocoyet, babay...etc...mga mommies, what do you think, could it really be autism or communication disorder lang talaga? what are the differences ba talaga? im so worried, he is now 3 yrs old but i haven't heard him call me mama yet. i long and pray so hard for the day that i can eventually hear him say the word. thanks...

mommy fedelym...

Hi mommies! NEST Manila just opened in Sampaloc. They have slots for OT, ST and Sped tutorials. All their therapists are certified and licensed (graduates from UP and UST). You can contact the center at 09255169308 or 09224169308.
