Nung nag babye ako nagbbye sya sabay sabi "see you mommy"  :D

Today was the first day of my nephew. I'm happy that he didn't give tantrums or cry. :)
He was actually very excited to go to school! We just arrived home and he can't stop talking about his subjects :D

Yesterday was my daughter's first day at school. :) I just prepared a really light snack for her, kasi parang hi hello day pa lang naman.  :)

As I expected, wala kaming crying moments. When she had her summer school session kasi last year, kahit sa first day niya dun di naman sya umiyak, so I already anticipated na magiging ok naman ang first day ng daily schooling na niya. :) She was really excited pa nga.  Ako ang medyo na-overwhelm kasi ang dami nilang students. But I kinda expected that na din kasi local day care center yon.

I decided not to enroll her for regular school yet sa big school kasi 1.) I still wanted to give her more time to 'enjoy' the idea of going to school, without being pressured with academics. :) 2.) Hindi pa kaya ng aming budget for this year ang tuition fee sa aming prospective school. :) Hubby kasi wanted to put her in a school na pag-aaralan na niya 'til highschool kasi iba nga naman pag nakapag-establish ka na ng friendships dun saka comfortable and secure ka na sa school, mas nagthrive ang bata. :)

So far so good naman, she's still excited to go to school, at nauuna pa magising sa kin. hehe. :D Sana laging ganon.

    • {Party Impressions} Where great parties begin

Last Monday was my son's 1st day at his new school. He was really excited about it and I went with him just to see how the system works regarding drop off and pick up of students. Yesterday he rode the bus by himself na without me. I'm so proud of him, just 4 years old and already so brave.

Miggy's first day was last Wednesday. His dad came with him tutal 7:45-9am lang naman ang classes.
His dad kept sending me pictures.

The next 2 days, I came with him na. Buti na lang pinayagan ako ng boss ko to work from home and work ng CEST.
I went inside just to give his personal items sa teacher niya then I told him I'm going to wait for him outside because I wouldn't fit sa chair. Sabe niya "Ok, go!".
Sabe ko I'll wait for him at the waiting area but I'll be the one to pick him up. He never seemed frightened so I'll take it as a good sign.

Si daddy niya taga-gising sa kanya while I prepare his breakfast.
This saturday nga when we went out sabi niya pupunta pa rin siya ng school kaya uniform daw isuot ko.
Mukhang eager-beaver naman itong anak ko. :D

@Mommy France, kakatuwa naman anak mo. Eagerness is there and excitement too. :)

Last week Wednesday is also Rexelle'a first day of class. Glad to be there on her first day kasi parang ako yung natatakot talaga. In how she does pag nasa school. And how she will start making friends. Then as Rexelle told me "Mommy sunduin mo ako ah".

She received stars sa seatwork at workbook niya. Glad that my mom is there kasi wala talaga maghatid at sundo sa kanya. Her classes starts at 10am and ends at 1pm.

Sobrang nalungkot ako kasi parang baby pa kasi yung anak ko though 4.5 years old na. Walang kamalay malay sa mga ganun. Then hubby and I assess her parang inobserve namin. Hindi sya bulol kasi she talk words clearly. And problem niya is constructing sentences. Medyo barok lang talaga...

Ako talaga yung hindi pa ready pero sabi nga ni hubby let Rexelle do on her own way. Which is tama naman and I should look over na lang her performance sa class and to keep remind her need to do while at school. Tutal almost three weeks nalang, SAHM na ulit ako.

So hindi ako pwedeng basta na lang pumunta to talk about my son's behavior.

Miggy kasi is not that good with describing yet. So when we ask him how school was, di pa talaga descriptive.

Numerical or descriptive?

I know kasi hindi niya matatappos yung activity sa school dahil mabilis sya mainip.

ang cute ng mga tots nyo kasi excited to go to school. naku, ang akin, puro NO, AYAW and GO HOME AGAIN ang naririnig ko nung first day. A lot of crying, too. Since 2yo pa lang sya, I normally stay inside the classroom or sa waiting area ng school until she's done with her class.

3 kaming kasama ni baby on her first day - ako, si hubby and si yaya (pero di kami masyado excited ha)  ;D So far, so good kasi nag paiwan naman siya sa classroom, di umiyak and nag pa participate naman.

Tulad mo mommy france, wala din akong idea how she's behaving in school. By appointment din kasi ang meeting with the teacher and di pwede mang ambush  ;D Pero aside from that we will be having a one-on-one basis meeting to discuss child's behavior and performance in school.

Tulad mo mommy france, wala din akong idea how she's behaving in school. By appointment din kasi ang meeting with the teacher and di pwede mang ambush  ;D

Samen din, friday dumating yung worksheets niya. Walang score na 10/10 kasi nga descriptive yung evaluation. So ang makikita ko lang is "good job" "practice at home" at "keep trying".

my son did not cry on his first day at school. He was so excited. On the first week, he was scheduled to have a class with only 4 of his classmates. para daw hindi mabigla. I was with him inside the classroom for only 30 minutes then the teacher signaled the yayas and parents to go out of the room when the kids were engaged in an activity. I was so proud of my 3 1/2 old son. Problem started though on his 2nd day. All his classmates were there already. There were 20 kids all in all for their class. When I was at the door, the teacher said not to go inside anymore because "adjusted' na daw anak ko. Some parents though have to go inside because their kids were crying. My son was overwhelmed and he was quite hesitant to go inside but he did. I thought that he'd be fine kasi d naman umiyak sa first day. Until on the 3rd day, a mother of my son's classmate told me that my son had been crying from the start of the class til the end. I was shocked and thought the mother was just mistaken. But she was right. I was very concerned so I talked to the teacher. The teacher said I should not give up on my son and he'd be able to adjust in time and staying inside the classroom with my son will only make the process longer. After that, though it pains me to leave him, i stayed outside the room and held on to the hope that one day he'd stop crying.Eventually, he cried lesser and lesser and After two weeks, he finally did stop crying and started enjoying class! Just thought I'd share this coz I know it can be difficult for first time moms like me. I know some moms too have had the same prob with me.
