hello mommy darl! nung first few months na nagbebreastfeed ako and mahina din milk production ko gumagamit talaga ako breast pump, although for 2 months lang ako nakapagbreastfeed during the time na naka-ML lang ako and nag 100% formula na si Xian.inadvice din ako nung OB ko na kumain palagi oatmeal tsaka iba pang food na mataas sa vitamin B tsaka ang well known pampagatas na malunggay..  :D

for me dumami milk ko dati kasi religiously, every three hours, i use the breast pump talaga, until wala na talaga lumalabas at kupos na ang boobs, hehe... ito lang kasi is a technique para dumami ang milk... kahit si baby ay nagdede naman sayo, pumping after will ensure na ma-drain talaga ang boobs mo, making your body think na malakas ang consumption ni baby, so next time dadamihan niya pa ang production... anyway the milk na you pumped na di ininom ni baby pwede mo naman ilagay sa freezer or throw it away (or give sa dog --- nakakataba sya ng dog, swear)... or give sa other babies whose moms dont have milk (or kung may malapit na orphanage with babies).

sa oatmeal naman, what i did before was i use the milk for lactating mothers para i-mix sa oatmeal tapos di na ako naglalagay ng sugar... i also added fruits and even dried fruits to add sa taste... biruin mo, for 3 months, breakfast ko was laways oatmeal... for my case naman kasi i love oatmeal (plus my mom was always looking over my shoulder... hehe)

here's some good news... if you always drain your boobs which leads to your body always producing more every three hours... papayat ka... i swear by this... i went back to my dalaga weight and figure (except for the tummy part na medyo saggy pa from lack of exercise)... tapos add na dun na i had bigger boobs, hehe...

side effect naman, eventually magmukang deflated balloon ang boobs (lalo na after draining with the pump talaga)... pero i learned na once i got back to my normal hormone level at medyo may laman na ulit ako (dahil di na napupunta kay baby lahat ng fats ko), my boobs were no longer deflated... tapos i would do 30 push-ups three times a week (TTHS), which added lift sa boobs kasi nag tighten ulit ang muscles... so perky na ulit si boobies (di na nga lang sing perky nung wala pang baby...)  ;D

1. Numero uno tip is direct feeding as often as possible..nothing beats talaga.. find time to do direct feeding.

2. Pumping every 2 to 3 hrs helps a lot.

3. Take galactogues.

4. Take lots of liquid.

Goodluck po sa mga breastfeeding mommies. Wala talagang papantay sa breastmilk kahit Enfa series pa yan heheh.

I'm really frustrated because i stopped breastfeeding when baby was 2 months old because i had to work. Now, i wanna re-lactate but he doesn't like anymore he would cry if i position him on my breast. Is this normal a reaction? He's 9 months now. Mommies i need help/advises from personal experiences. Thanks so much!

mommy kaydet normal reaction kay baby un lalo na kung totally mo tinigil breastfeeding for 7mos.. luckily for me, di nagkaroon ng confusion si baby sa bottle and breast ko, 10mos na sya ngaun pero love pa rin niya mag-breastfeed kahit na like din niya bote niya  ;) try mo siguro minsan, habang nagdede sya sa bote, alisin mo saglit tapos offer mo yung breast mo, baka sakali malito sya tpos magustuhan niya eventually mag-breastfeed :D kung di umubra, pump mo na lang.. kahit di direct breastfeeding, importante breastmilk pa rin, the best milk for babies talaga! good luck sis!

For moms here, it's really hard for us to produce milk once we stop breastfeeding.

My advise is to re-introduce your baby again to breastmilk. Better if direct to breast, but if ayaw niya kasi nasanay na siya sa bottle, try pumping. As with the experience of other moms here, even with pumping, it's hard to produce milk again. Always, try pa din feeding your baby directly kahit sa una ayaw niya.

Try to pump regularly, once every 3 hours or less, to stimulate production and para "maisip" ng breast na nagbe-breastfeed uli si baby. Milk production/supply depends on milk demand so "trick" your breasts that more milk is needed by pumping - this is the idea behind pumping regularly.
