Where to stay in Singapore?
« on: June 14, 2011, 05:00:04 pm »

Hi mga Sisses!

Mods, if there's a similar topic, pa-merge na lang po, wala kasi ako makita.. thanks!

Pa-advise naman po for a good area and hotel to stay in Singapore. Yung accessible sa mga tourist attractions dun. I'm searching for one sa Asiatravel but I'd want sana first hand experiences para sure na maganda and comfortable magiging stay namin dun. I am travelling with hubby, my 3 y/o boy and my mom and will be staying for 4 days. :)

Most kasi ng nakikita ko good for 2 adults and kid lang yung room.

Hi sis, I don't know much about the hotels here in Singapore, pero you can try visiting below sites baka makatulong. And less than an hour naman kung pupuntahan nyo yung Singapore Flyer, Esplanade and Marina Bay.

^thanks sis!

I saw a hotel kanina, good for family siya, Strands Hotel lapit daw sa Orchard. I asked help from my friend living there kung pwede tawagan niya. Kasi ang hirap mag inquire online. Direct kasi sa hotel yung inquiry.

Excited na ko sis! :) Ano po ba ang weather jan pag month of Sept?

Hello mga sis! I may be able to help as I stayed there to work for more than a year. :)

If you want accessibility, you'd go for the hotels in Orchard such as:
  • Orchard Hotel
    Hilton
    Four Seasons
    Marriott Hotel

If you're on a budget naman and don't mind doing some walk in the city, sa Bugis area ang alam kong medyo ok for tourists. Although hindi ako nakapunta sa red light district/s such as Geylang [sabi lang ng friend ko nung napadaan yung night rider bus na sinasakyan niya one time na medyo wild yung place na yon pag gabi], I think it's generally safe in Singapore at hindi mahirap mag commute. Enjoy your vacation. :)

hi mga sis!

unforunately, hindi na kami tuloy sa sg. change of plans na. first of all, hindi maganda yung schedule ng punta namin dun supposedly (3rd week of september) kasi may F1. So lahat ng prices ng hotels, super mahal. I had a deal kasi with hubby, and favorable naman for me and the whole family kaya hindi na sa Singapore ang stop over namin. :)

mga sis if you want a peaceful environment to stay.. you may actually try tampines, pasir ris, bedok. kasi tahimik ang place compare sa ibang lugar... though you really have to walk, take mrt or bus to get to the tourist destination but its worth it at least naiikot mo ang place.. orchard for me is like living in makati puro gimikan kasi at ang mamahal ng mga stores don.. red un ata yung sa mga mustafa yung parang quiapo sa tin but here anywhere you go safe, protected ka ... kahit nga iwan mo ng bukas ang bag mo walang magtatangka na dumukot... andtio ako til jul 30

Hi sisses,

Try Tresor Tavern, Hotel 81, Fragrance Hotel. As per my experienced, I've tried Fragrance Pearl sa Geylang area with my 2 kids with me ok naman at safe naman yung place. Geylang district is like Mabini pero still Singapore naman yun.

You can also try to browse pinoysg dito nakaadvertise usually yung mga transient rooms for rent ng pinoy family sa SG.

God Bless

try nyo dito sis, piliin nyo yung may sariling bathroom.

hindi naman super nakakatakot sa Geylang. tumira ako dun for a time okay lang naman. wag nyo compare dito kasi iba dun sa SG ;D if you know what i mean.

try to search agoda.com for good deals din, yung locations na masusuggest ko (in order of my preference lang)

Marina Bay
Orchard
Bugis
Clarke Quay
Geylang
