Mommies, ano bang mga vaccines ang meron sa health center? I'm a first time mom, no idea at all. I've been reading thread re: vaccines pero mostly about prices so I am aware how costly it would be. My almost 2-week old baby got his first 2 shots already, Hepa B and BCG. I am confused whether to continue all his vaccines from his pedia or baka yung iba meron naman sa center?

Another concern is, baka malito ako lalo sa vaccines schedule niya if ever i'll visit both pedia and health center.. Enlighten me pls.

Each Health Center is different. You better visit yours so you would know what vaccines are available. Gagawan po kayo ng record sa Health Center ninyo. You better bring your baby's health record (baby book) where your pedia wrote down the vaccines already administered to your baby. The Health Center Doctor will also refer to your baby's record para hindi madoble ang bigay.
Mas mura ang vaccines sa health center pero pila and by schedule (there's a certain day scheduled for babies, senior, pregnant, regular check up, etc). Depende din sa Barangay, kung konti ang population, konti din ang pila. Hindi naman lahat ng Health Centers jam packed. What I'm not sure is if it's the Doctor herself who gives the shot or a licensed Med Tech orNurse.

Hindi ka naman malilito kung sa center & pedia ka nagpapavax ng baby mo kase me baby book naman from the pedia and me binibigay ding form from brgy. What I did, right after vaccine from the brgy health center, ina-update ko agad yung baby book from the pedia, nilalagay ko lang na from bhc yung vaccine. Mas madali din for the pedia na i-sked ang vax na sya ang magbibigay.

Yea may schedule ang pag vaccine sa health center so you might want to go to your local health center muna to check what vaccines they are offering and when is it being offered. Sa Earnshaw Health Center here in Sampaloc area ang schedule ng measle vaccine is every Wednesday morning lang at free lang sya. walang bayad. The doctor will first check on your baby's record and then a licensed nurse will administer the shot.

Wednesday is immunization day for health centers and well baby check-up din. You can register your baby in your local health center and bring the baby book(the one from the hospital) para malaman din nila kung ano pa ang kulang ni baby and then your baby will be scheduled for vaccination. They'll give you a form/card kung saan nakalista ang mga vaccine na dapat iavail ni baby,at ang corresponding age niya when to be vaccinated. Each time your baby get's vaccinated, they'll mark the card with the date and the type of vaccine your baby got. If you'll be switching from health center to your pedia, you can just show her the card, alam na nila yun. You can also click here for the standard immunization followed here sa Philippines.

For me, it's better na iavail kung ano man ang makukuha sa center, at ilaan na lang ang pera para sa mga mas mahal na vaccine like pneumococcal vaccine w/c is very costly.

BTW sa ibang health centers, magbabayad ka for the needle na gagamitin.

ang anak ko yung BCG lang ang sa lying in the rest sa center na.. kasi same lang din daw ng tinuturok yung midwife ng lying in ang nagsabi sakin.. pero kung doubt ka parin.. meron din naman na package na sa mga hospital yung bakuna ng bata hanggang paglaki..

Each Health center is different. I am just lucky kasi maganda yung healt center sa amin sa Cavite. Malinis and hindi siksikan. Most of our visit kami lang andun.

On your first visit they will give a BABY BOOK with the vaccines na available sa kanila. Mostly eto :

1 BCG
3 Oral Polio Vaccine
3 DPT
2 Hepa B (since yung una provided na kung san ka nanganak)
1 measles
VItamin A (oral drop)

Sa amin meron sila almost lahat. Yung wala lang yung ROtavirus.

Since may baby book ka din naman from your pedia kapag sa center yung vaccine ikaw na maglagay ng note dun sa baby book para hindi ka maguluhan. =)

yun baby ko sa health center din kami nagavail ng mga vaccines niya pero pag natapos na yung sa center yung iba iavail ko na sa pedia.

laking tulong din yung sa center kasi thousands yung nasisave yun ngalang tyagaan sa pila.

Sa health Center samin all vaccines are avilable. Pero yung mga speacial vaccines you need to request it pa. lalo na yung mga mahal. I have noticed na konti lang naman ang difference. Malaki lang siya tignan because you dont have to pay for the check up fee na sa center. Like yung Hepa A sa cener 1700. Then sa pedia ng baby ko 1800. Pero sa pedia parin kami. 2 years old na kasi siya and alam na niya yung mga nangyayari e. Baka kasi ma trauma siya kapag sa health center. Alam niyo naman kung paano sila magturok dun. Walang TLC.

hi sis ericamm at ana mimi nagkita kita ulit tayo dito sa thread heheh... anyways confused din ako kaya naenlighten ako sa mga post nio mommies ang mahal naman talaga sa pedia... yung sa 1st baby ko talagang center lang at yung flu vaccine lang ang sa pedia,,.. so ngayon decided na ko na sa center na lang tapos yung wala sa pedia.. kamusta naman kasi ang 6 in 1 3k every month for 3 month... pinacheck up ko recently ang baby ko sa family doctor mas ok daw ang isa isa kesa sa 6 in 1 at recommended din naman niya ang magpavaccine sa center...

hello graceabril.. Hindi pa ko nakakaavail ng vaccine sa health center.. Puro sa pedia pa, so far BCG P800 at 2shots ng HEPA B (800 din) pa lang ang nakukuha ko.. Nakasched baby ko next week 5 in 1 P2000 ata. Compared sa prices ng ibang pedia dun sa isang thread mura na yung singil ng pedia ko kaya sa kanya pa nagpapabakuna si baby and walking distance lang kasi yung clinic niya. Pero syempre iba pa rin yung libre di ba? hehe!

ano ba yung difference ng 5 in 1 sa 6 in 1? la kasi nabanggit pedia namin about dun eh.
