Hi yanyan06,

Baka late talker lang si baby?  Wala ba tangang kahit anong speech?

My Rule of thumb is if I feel something doesn't seem right, painapa-check ko na, better sure than sorry.

Hi Mommy :)

I have to agree with MissPychi. She might be a late talker. I have a two year old too and her speech is still bulol. And she started talking, at least simple words, 3 months before she turned two.  :) If your baby cannot even utter simple words like "mama" or "papa," maybe you need to have your baby checked. Para it will give you a peace of mind too :)

gaya nga ng sinabi ng ibang sis natin eh baka nga late bloomer lang si baby mo sis, saw other kids din na 2 na pero sobrang bulol pa talaga, kausapin niyo lang ng kausapin, dont baby talk kasi kung ano naririnig madalas ni baby yun din yung matututunan niya, daughter ko naman super aga nag talk, by the age of 2 nakakanta na and super linaw, pero i believe na iba iba kasi development ng mga babies eh, pero kung worried ka talaga, ask you pedia na din

Dadi, nana, jabi are ok. Yung spinning part, lahat ng kids are fascinated naman by spinning pero kapag ang baby niyo would like it more than any other games and seems ayaw niya tumigil, or babalikan niya yung pag ikot-ikot after a given task, then it could be a sign IF may kasama pang ibang signs. ask ko lang po mga mommies, kasi yung baby ko hilig niya kumuha nga halimbawa damit ikakalat niya tas ibabalik ulit. o kaya yung mga unan ilalagay niya sa isang bangko, tas yung posporo ikakalat niya tas pagsasamasamahin ulit. is it consider ba na lining up of things? kasi i heard na yung autistc babies daw e mahilig mag line ng mga things?

Hi mom Yvette, kamusta na ang hearing ni Yvan ngayon? May second trial pa ba nung sa hearing test? Sana di naman maapektuhan ang hearing niya, ang hirap nun as a mom. :( My prayers for your little Yvan.

Yung bunso ko, 1 year and 3 mos na ngayon, ang alam lang sabihin ay "papapapapapapa" and "hehey". Other than that, "hwa-hya" na repeatedly minsan. :( Hindi ko alam if may problem sya sa pagsasalita kasi yung panganay ko (2 yrs old) naman ang aga niya natuto magsalita (wala pang 1 yr old) although bulol until now pero madaldal sya at bibo.

Salamat sis Xiary. Oo may second trial daw ABR naman ang tawag. mag 2 years old na sya sa April, ganun lang din na nasasabi niya baba, mama, tata..sa case naman niya hindi nanamin minamadali kasi may health condition siya, in God's time sis :-)

dati naalala ko ganyan si Yuri hindi talaga nagsasalita, sobrang worried ako until nasabi ng Pedia namin, bigyan namin ng chance si Yuri to adjust, pag mga 4-5 years old yun kailangan na sya dalin sa Speech Development kung talagang hindi sya madedevelop to speak, eh ayun bago pumasok last year nagsalita na sya. hindi lang kasi nasanay mga anak ko na makipag socialize sa ibang bata bahay  lang kami lagi..  ;D

Hi, my toddler is turning 2 next week. She doesn't talk yet in straight but she already knows how to speak the basic words such as dada, mum, dedes, taas, baba, doon, dito, fries, etc.  She also talks a lot of nonsense made up words or baby words. I know she's a late talker but I am not really bothered since I was a late talker too.  Another reason why I'm not bothered by her late talking is because she's very responsive every time I ask her questions. She understands what I'm saying and she's following my orders such as bring me this or bring me that, etc. Honestly, up to now, I'm still kinda 'bulol,' so I think that's another factor why my toddler is a late talker. But instead of worrying, I just let her speak, and I always talk to her.  I already discussed this with my toddler's pedia last December, she said some are really late talker but you'll be surprised because once they learn how to speak straight, they will talk endlessly. My toddler has her scheduled vaccine appointment by the end of this month, I will talk to her pedia again about her late talking. I will post an update after my appointment with the pedia. :)

Hi yanyan06, about the lining of things, my toddler's also doing that.  Try to buy Melissa & Doug PEG Alphabet or Number Puzzle, or Toy Blocks, or Legos. Toddlers love to show off what they can do or what they already know.  One time, my toddler arranged our gadgets from big to small. Some times, she even put the things with the same color on one side and so on. She even plays with the toilet paper by making a pyramid of toilet papers, lol. She even cleans our bed by arranging the pillows on top of each other.  And then she clapped her hands! Toddlers are a huge show off. So instead of worrying, let your toddler practice his/her skills. Let him/her help you with household chores such as arranging pillows. :)

Hi. I'm still not sure if I need to worry about my child. She's 2 yrs and 6 months now. And now napansin ko na kapag sinabi mo sa kanya "Turo mo nga si tatay" tuturo niya yung lolo niya or pag sinabi na "turo mo si papa" ituturo niya yung papa niya. Kilala niya yung mga tao sa bahay at the same time nabbgkas niya yung name.

Manalo kanina since yan yung malapit sa area namin. Last year kc na evaluate yung anak ko with GDD. She undergo OT for 4 months twice a week. Then speech which is supposed to be twice a week din pero d ma-accomodate ng speech therapist niya kaya for a year once a week lang kami.  Tas this month d kami nkaattend ng speech kc mgreresign na yung therapist niya kaya wlang schedule.  Kanina yung 3rd visit namin with Dra. Speech nalang tlaga yung problema.

Hope you could give me feedback regarding sa mga therapy centers above.  Thank you and God bless.
