We were thinking of changing our baby's milk since she recently turned one. Nung una, she was drinking s26 and wala akong masabi talagang mataba saka healthy si baby ko. Same with Promil, ang kaso lang she needs to change milk kase yung poops niya matigas. So her pedia changes to Nan Pro 2, dito talagang pumayat ang baby ko. We saw the Nido Junior, it was half the price of Nan Pro 3 then my hubby checked the nutrition content nila sabi ni hubby mas may lamang pa daw yung Nido kesa Nan Pro. Talagang napaisip kami but still we didn't risk changing muna kase syempre we still think na pedia's opinion really matters kaya we need to wait muna until the next check up bago ako magpalit ng milk. Ayoko din kaseng mag change dahil lang mas mura, ang mahalaga saken is yung mabalik yung dating gana ng baby ko sa pagkain ng food and syempre without the poops problem.

inexpensive for me, means good quality but the price is affordable, while the cheap one is affordable with not so good quality.

these all depends on your financial status.  other brands can be inexpensive for you but others would feel they're cheap.

what's important is that you're giving your child the milk that suits him.  for instance, promil can be effective with other kids and not with the others.  enfagrow can make a child gain weight while it cause constipation with another.

I would say no.

Mas madaming process = mas madaming chemical = not good

Another thing, inamin ng MeadJohnson na marketing gimmick lang nila ang "closer ever to breastmilk" dahil sa DHA and ARA content ng gatas nila same as the inclusion of prebiotics. It's FAKE and TOXIC. Extracted from ALGAE and FUNGUS using HEXANE, ACID and BLEACH.

Infant formula is purely chemical.

I mixed feed my son with my milk and formula from his first 3months. Which is very wrong. I was not encouraged by my pedia to go for exclusive breastfeeding. He already said to give my kid Enfalac A+. I didn't know anything about those at that time. I didn't know that breastmilk has 160 fatty acids that will never be available in formulas. I wasn't educated by then. So now, I do not rely on my pedia's advises with regards on my baby's diet. I hate him. Sinusuhulan sila ng mga kumpanya ng gatas to promote their products.

So, with that. I would suggest to give your kids the "regular" milk WITHOUT dha and ara content.

first impression pag mahal,it's good quality with cheaper one it's not so good quality but still it some babies it cam make them heavy, mataba and di sakitin...
While some babies who are having expensive milk minsan payat, sakitin...
Every baby is unique iba iba ang respond ng katawan nila sa milk...Depende how strong they are...

But for us mom and dads who are working very hard for us to give them the best we opted for the expensive one hoping and trusting them to give the nourishment our kids needed...
Financial status is alos one of the reason, nung 0-12 months si baby ko I gave him Promil series and the results is really good di man sya tumaba eh di naman sya nagkasakit...After a year it means more expenses, things needed to provide for him kaya I change to NIDO Jr....I tried and it works!same result dun sa Promil series niya and I think much much more kase nga this time with more help na from the solid foods na ibinibigay ko sa kanya plus vitamins and LOTS OF LOVE.....

napansin ko din na mas dense yung milk, mas mahal.  my baby has been taking pediasure since he was almost a year old.  underweight kasi ang baby ko that time.  ang bagal mag gain ng weight so his pedia prescribed to give him Pediasure.  True enough, naka catch up sya sa weight.  He's now taking Pediasure Plus kasi 3 years old na sya. I tried switching kasi to Gain School Advance kasi nagtaas ng almost 70 pesos per can ang price ng Pediasure Plus, during the one month period twice nagkasakit ang anak ko.

Formula milk are becomes expensive because these are nutrients dense and because of the nucleotides, DHA and ARA that the manufacturers are incorporated. And you will see kasi na talagang pure un gatas and no extenders kung baga. Extenders maybe sugar so mataas un carbohydrates content niya.
But it still depends on what is hiyang sa ating mga anak.. At this point kasi ang milk is just a supplement and ang basic source of nutrients na un solid foods so it is very important to give our child healthy foods. Or kung nagbbreastfeed naman, u can try yo buy a cheaper milk supplement kasi breastmilk is nutrient dense it self.

If you can see na maganda naman ang result ng enfa series kay baby mo,and kaya ng budget why not continue?....
At six months pwede na sya sa mga soft foods which can give nutrients din....

i agree to the other mommies who posted here that the more expensive the milk is the higher the nutrients that our babies get from it unlike the cheaper ones but it really doesn't matter if it is cheaper or more expensive kasi un babies natin ang makaka pag judge nun if acceptable ba sa panlasa nila or hindi.,. :)

In my own opinion there's no other best milk than breastmilk. For romula milk, it all depends on the brand name but actually they are all the same I think kasi they come from COWS. I breastfed my daughter for 20months, weaned her because I got pregnant again. was so worried about her calcium intake because she wouldn't drink any formula milk. I thought formula milk was the answer, but recently after reading articles here www.bosombuddy.org i found out that formula milk isn't good for babies. I also attended breastfeeding seminars and they said that when the baby reaches 1 year old, it's not advisable to give substitutes such as formula milk coz there are a lot of natural food where the child can get calcium. So, whether expensive or cheap formula milk, it doesn't matter. the important thing is we train them to eat natural food instead of being conscious about the formula milk's prices.
