How can a forty-something mom build a style without large expense (we are paying for college you know) which will look new and fresh but appropriate for our age. hi mommy dianne, are you trying to change your fashion statement? My mom is on her mid-40s and she still have the same fashion statement with me and my sisters. She actually wears our clothes, and we can wear hers too. One piece of advise mommy, you don't need to have a completely new set of clothes, all you need to do is to learn how to match things up, and invest more on accessories since it can make your plain clothes look fab. Read fashion magazines, or you can simply surf the net for some tips. If you're near divisoria, there are lot of clothes to choose from. Invest on good quality of clothings too, be wise when you buy. goodluck mommy.

No, not really..I did not change my fashion or the way I dress, it seems maybe it makes me diss appointed that I can no longer wear the clothes that i wear before because it won't FIT to me anymore. I buy clothes but not the branded ones, accessories? di ako mahilig kasi I'm always on the go..kaya no time to wear accessories , but of course if there's special occasions, we should choose dress and accessories once in a while.  Thanks for the suggestions is jeuno..

at 40, i'd still have the same trendy fashion, but by that time, it won't be too revealing like how i dress now (i like to wear skimpy dresses).  i guess i'd have to invest more on accessories.  i also have two girls, and by the time i'm in my early 40s, my eldest will be graduating in college.
 
kung carry pa rin, i'd still wear cigarette heels.

At 30, my fashion sense, I would say, matured to a certain extent.  I buy classic clothes for office wear, and I still wear fashionable clothes during weekends.  Luckily I was able to maintain my weight even after giving birth.

Needless to say, just find what's suitable for your body type and budget.  I suggest going to zara, maldita, freeway or ensembles

hindi ko pa to naiisip. sa totoo lang di ko maimagine what i would be wearing when i turn 40. since bata ako sneakers,jeans, and shirts lang talaga attire ko hanggang ngayon (except during pregnancy). akala ko nga before that once i'm 20yo, mas mature na ang pagdadamit ko. pero hindi naman. hindi ko rin maisip na i'll be wearing dresses anytime soon. nakow, i'm stuck with this question. pero i'm sure na magbabago rin naman taste ko. hindi pa lang siguro ako nagsasawa sa look ko ngayon.

When I 40 siguro, ganun pa rin, classic jeans saka shirt, pero siyempre ibabagay mo na sa age di ba? Not to pa-bagets, hindi rin losyang. I'm thirty-one now, kaso hindi pa nga daw halata nun pag lumalaboy kami ng mga anak ko kasi para ko lang daw silang mga younger sisters or pamangkin lang. I'm more of a sneakers-jeans type of person kasi. Minsan shorts na hindi naman super ikli, tamang pang mall lang. Pero pag buntis ako, dress talaga kasi ang init di ba? Ewan, siguro talaga i'll stick to jeans and tshirt kahit 40 na ko.

pag nag mall kami ni hubby shorts and sleeveless blouse lang suot ko with matching slippers...sabi kasi ng husband ko suot ko daw yung magiging comfortable ako..Pero nung graduation ng anak ko sa high school - - I wear  fit dress with matching  3inches na sandals..siguro nga   it depends on the occassion kung ano dapat i wear.
Sis jeuno.. I started buying accessories na..and my two girls use or wear them too..

Avoid dark colors, gray and beige. It will make you look older. Ganun din with make up, no eyeliner on my lower eyelids, mukha akong matrona. If I want red, flashy lips, I'd lighten my eyeshadow and blush.
More than clothes, dapat consider na rin ang posture. I have the tendency to slouch, magmumukha akong may osteoporosis if I don't mind my posture. Importante rin ang pananalita (in person ha, not on line). Giving too much advice lalo na kung hindi ka naman tinatanong reveals your age at parang you're asserting your identity as the oldest in the group demanding respect.
Sa hair, shorter hair can make you look young lalo na pag may style. Consider mo muna kung carry mo.
Maybe I'll  have a customized shirt that reads "Don't ask me my age!"

Siguro just like my mom, i would still wear the same old clothes i have in my closet. Im nearly 23 and im planning to buy  pair of jeans that would last for up to 20 years hehe (sana lang hindi na ako tumaba pa).. Since 20y.o na ang anak ko by that time, baka hindi ako lalayo sa uso niya hehe para bonding parin kahit sa clothes lang I have this trend sa hairstyle, every 3 years napapa short hair ako para hindi boring at may excitement palagi I would still continue that trend.. that would be short hair by 40

Pag sa PTCs or haharap sa school teacher or director, dapat medyo serious ang dating. Not jeans and shirt. Pang lakad naman, yung medyo non-conservative kasi naghahanap na ng attention. If I'm 20 years younger I wouldn't dare to wear what I wear now. I also see to it na kasama ko si hubby if I want to wear something sexy.

I'm 41...medyo naiba ang fashion sense ko kasi nagbago ang figure ko.  I wear clothes that I feel comfortable.  I am always on the go kaya leggings lang, knee length man or mahaba, you can mix and match.  Pag susundo sa school, I wear t-shirt to match my leggings, pag malling - printed blouse or blouse with symmetry plus leggings pa rin.  Pag may ocassion dun ako bumabawi as in transformed ako. 

Sa daughter ko na lang binabawi yun di ko kayang isuot. 

Minsan naisip ko kelangan ko rin mag makeover...depende kasi yan sa lifestyle.  di naman kelangan makiuso.

If I'm 40 y.o which is 22 years from now, I'm going to wear those cloths that I'm comfy and fashionable. I prefer wearing casual type and jeans & shirt still do. Like other sisses din, I won't wear orminimize wearing those skinny type of dress na din since di na nga kabataan ang edad. My mother is alreay 50 y.o but mas fashionista pa sya sa akin & bagets pag manamit but I don't see anything wrong naman with her get-up. Minsan nga magka size pa kami ni mama and sister ko or mas malaki ako sa kanila..

I'm into maxi dresses, leggings, jeans at shirt, maybe if I'm 40 medyo same pa din kaya lang dapat classy and my elegance to hide the age hehe. Mahilig ako sa classic design ng jewelry gold and white gold, pearl and lace kaya for sure hindi yun mawawala sa get up ko lalo na sa mga special occassion
