Ask your OB if pregnant ka po. They can prescribe something else for you.

Ako nung inuubo ako nag stop ako mag breastfeed.. Iniisip ko kasi baka masipsip niya yung plema! LOL

Eh ang tagal mawala nung ubo ko more than 1 week na ata.. tapos parang dumalang na yung lumalabas sa nipple ko.. iniisip ko tuloy baka wala na gatas mnsan pinipisil ko, may lumalabas naman.. hindi nalang gaya dati na pag lalabas, pwede na pigain yung damit ko sa dami... ngayon "medyo" pagaling na ako!

my Ob and pedia advice to still breastfeed even nag take ka ng med for fever...CS delivery ako then after operation nilagnat ako but still my OB and Pedia advice me to still breastfeed my son even nag take pako ng mga medicine noon for my wound.3 meds yun 2x aday..but wala naman effect sa baby ko,im also using formula milk for my baby kasi hindi pa siya pwede dumidede kasi masakit pa tahi ko at bawal pa  kumilos then  the nextday ako nag breast feed even may lagnat ako at nag take ng med. hindi naman siguro mag advice yung 2 docs na mag breastfeed if harmful kai baby  ko..

oo nga noh!! nakalimutan ko.. CS din kasi ako, kaya pag uwi ko dito sa bahay nag tatake ako ng antibiotics.. 3x a day pa nga yun! pero pinag bbreastfeed ako! so pwede nga!! hahaha... limot ko na ano ba yan!

haha, totoo yun sis.. lagi na ako makakalimutin... minsan nga lipstick nakakalimutan ko tawag.... sabi ko nalang yung may kulay na nilalagay sa lips! nyahahaha....

ako naman never nagkasakit while breastfeeding. Pero yun din ang bilin ni pedia, pwede magbreastfeed unless may iba ka pang sakit aside lagnat,sipon or ubo..

at meron naman ako guidebook na bigay ni pedia dun na lang ako nagbabasa kapag may questions hehe

based from my experience, nagpa bf ako kay baby while i have cough na yung phlegm ay nakabara sa throat & allgergic rhinosinusitis. ang ginawa ko lang ay asked ang pulmonologist kung ano gamot pinaka safest inumin. he gave me an antibiotic na itatake ko 3x a day for 7 days.

notice ko lang na di sya nahahawa sa akin, lakas talaga resistensya niya and yung milk supply ko ay continous pa rin. better to ask also your pedia if yung iniriseta ng pulmonologist na gamot ay pwede din sa bf, wala naman masama if you double check diba.

Hi. I have a one-year-old and she's still breastfeeding. I never had any serious illness while breastfeeding. Nagkamastitis ako once, and allergic rhenitis, oh, and UTI. I researched online and it's safe for mommies to breastfeed even with fever, coughs, and colds. Just remember to tell your doctor na breastfeeding ka so he could give you safe meds.

Hi, it's safe to breastfeed even with colds and fever. Your baby have the antibodies to prevent them from getting sick. Good that you search on the internet re safe drug for breastfeeding moms. If you can, try to find the book Nursing Mother's Companion by Kathleen Huggins. It's a very complete guide to breastfeeding moms (until weaning). It also has a complete list of medicine/drugs that safe/not safe for BF moms plus yung possible effect sa baby and mom if taken. Hope this helps...

wow thank you to all the mommies na nag-reply. ngayon ko lang nabasa mga replies nyo. medyo pagaling na ako mga sis, so far di naman nahawa ang baby ko kahit bf ko siya kahit may lagnat ako. malakas talaga resistensya ng baby ko. ok naman gatas ko marami pa naman. my ob adviced me to gargle bactidol and take vitamin c and drink plenty of water. ganun na nga ginawa ko. kaya eto pagaling na ako mga sis salamt din sa mga advices nyo. thank you thank you.
