Hello, Mommystarlove!

Possible naman ang VBAC just talk to your OB. CS din ako sa 1st baby namin because I have UTI the whole duration of my pregnancy and nahawa na rin si Baby. But still pinag-labor ako ng OB ko for 24 hours to try na mag-NSD ako. But yun nga hindi na rin nag-progress ang labor ko and nahawa na ng infection si Baby. Now that I'm pregnant again, I tried to ask my OB if we could go through VBAC this time dahil normal and healthy naman ang pregnancy ko ngayon. And, she said Yes naman. So, try to talk with your OB first. :)

Naku, 2010 pa ako nanganak eh tska may complications yung akin. CS ako with complications then si Baby 1 week sa NICU (1 week din kami sa hospital ginawa naming hotel), bill namin is 83K but cash out namin is 50K lang. Tska i remember may officemate ako, same hospital (PDH) kami nanganak but different OB, same CS akin with complications nga sa kanya wala when we compared our bill 83K ang akin sya naka 120K (with Philhealth). Imbao, you could ask her anything you want tska very caring sa mga patients niya.

hello there! refer ko sayo si Dr. Prudence Aquino - OB sa Clinica Manila in Megamall. I've also asked her about it and very willing siya mag VBAC just as long as you have your OR records -- yung cut na ginawa sayo and all that. Para makita niya kung good candidate ka for VBAC. Madalas kasi, mga previous CS na bikini type ang very eligible for that type of procedure dahil hindi madaling magra-rupture ang uterus once na mag labor kana. Classic cut kasi ako kaya hindi ako pwede so naka schedule na ko ng CS on Nov. 19. I hope this helps.  ;D

Hello mommies.. Just want to share my experience kasi sa 1st baby ko CS ako pero after 5 years nabuntis ako ulit then kaka deliver ko lang ng baby ko 5 mos.ago and NORMAL delivery.. For me mas ok to try vbac.. If you have q's and if u need advice im willing to help po para ma ishare pa ang experience ko re: vbac.. Just email me.. Sheryllcustodio@gmail.com.. Thanks mommies!  :-*

thanks sis sheycustodio for sharing your experience. Thanks ulet sis.  :)

@mommy starlove - go find an OB who's pro VBAC.  I gave birth to my daughter via CS Section and I gave birth to my son via VBAC.

Read about the risks kasi meron yan although parang less than 1% lang yung chance na magkaroon ng uterine rupture. depende din yan kasi sa tahi mo nung na CS ka, pang ilang pregnancy mo, how big the baby is and how fast ng progress yung labor mo.  with my daughter kasi hanggang 5cm lang ako kaya ako na CS at paubos na yung amniotic fluid ko. with my son naman, never talaga nag rupture yung water bag ko. pinutok na lang nung nasa delivery room na ako.

good luck! and pray for a safe delivery.

Ako din, i was really hoping for VBAC for this second pregnancy.  But like most moms here, my OB also advised me na CS na lang para sure.  Ang explanation niya is

1)  Yung number of years between the pregnancies.  Mas malapit, mas risky mag VBAC
2.)  Yung risk nga of uterine rupture. Like me, 3 years apart ang pregnancies ko but with this 2nd, madalas sumakit yung area ng tahi ko.  And lumabas talaga sa ultrasound na manipis yung uterine scar ko from the first CS so risky talaga.
3.)  Usually, 2nd or succeeding babies are bigger than firstborns so mas mahirap ilabas ng normal.
4.)  OK pa daw sana kung 1st pregnancy is normal, 2nd pregnancy is CS tapos 3rd pregnancy, VBAC kasi at least alam na yung capacity ng pelvic bone.  Mas mahirap daw na 1st pregnancy CS tapos mag-trial labor for the 2nd pregnancy without knowing kung kaya ng pelvic bone.  Lalo pa given the fact na bigger nga ang 2nd and succeeding babies.  Baka mag-end up din with emergency CS.
5.)  bihira daw talaga yung hospitals and yung OBs na pumapayag sa VBAC.  Because no one wants to take the risk of uterine rupture.  Baka kung pumayag man sila, ipa-sign ka ng waiver or something.

Hope this helps.

Hello mga sis. OB ko is Dra. Minnou Ocampo-Tapia from San Juan De Dios Hospital.  Gave birth to my daughter via CS tapos nag change ako ng OB (sya kinuha ko) and naging successful VBAC yung delivery ng son ko.

She asked for my medical records and then I asked her questions na din about VBAC.  She was very confident about it and I trusted her kaya hindi na din ako nag worry.  Bikini cut naman ko sa daughter ko.
