Hi! i would like to meet other parents who have a child with CHD. Pls. share your stories. My son will turn 1 year old tomorrow March 7. 
He was diagnosed with mild to moderate Pulmonary valve stenosis (PS) when he was just 2 months. His last 2d echo on Dec 2008 showed it has progressed to moderate PS (to my dismay). His next 2decho will be on June 2009 which will determine if the procedure Balloon Valvuloplasty will be done (yun bang cathether with ballon on its end to dilate the stenotic or narrow valve). Alam nyo mge mommies, i'm trying to be strong and brave in preparation to whatever the pedia cardio will tell us. Pray na lang talaga ang pwede namin gawin

Hi! I have a 12 yr old daughter and she will turning 13 this May 17. She was diagnosed at 10 yrs old with hole in her heart ASD (Atrial Septal Defect) with Mild Mitral Valve Regurgitation. She will undergo open heart surgery this May 2009 at Philippine Heart Center.

hi sis! ako naman pero i am hoping pag pinacheck up ko si isaiah wala siya CHD. Kasi kahapon nagpa x-ray for 2D Echo daw para for further tests. Kagabi pa nga ko iyak ng iyak kasi kinakabahan ako. 8 months na si baby pero healthy naman siya...kaya sana sa 2nd opinion ok yung lumabas na result

ask ko lang po paano po ba kayo nag arrived sa decision na ipa 2D echo mga anak nyo to check if meron sila CHD?
Or any symptoms para mag alala,as a mommy, na baka anak ko meron CHD?
Or yung pedia po ba ang unang nakaka discover nun?

hi mommy! kasi po yesterday yung result ng xray niya may naka-indicate na for 2d echo to check if may CHD. hay kaya nga kagabi pa ko worried pero gusto ko pa din pacheck sa iba pedia yung baby ko.

Hi! im a newbie here.  my daughter Abi was diagnosed with VSD when she was one-month old.  3 medications were given to her, icluding Digoxin, Furosemide and Capoten.  When she turned one-year old, her Pedia Cardio insturct us to discontinue na the Furosemide and Capoten since mukhang kaya na naman ng Lanoxin yung case ng baby ko

Now she's 2 na, maliban sa madali syang magka-ubo, e wala namang ibang masamang nangyayari sa kanya like heart failure, etc.

Hopefully, with God's grace, magclose o its own na ang hole ng heart niya when she turns 4

Bakit sis, may nakita bang enlargement of the heart sa x-ray ng baby mo?

un lang yung findings pero natatakot talaga ako di ko pa nakikita talaga yung result. si mama ko lang ang nagsabi. pero yung cardiac niya nakalagay naman normal...kaya gusto ko din humingi ng second opinion. kasi every month naman namin sya napapacheck up wala naman nakikita ganon. Pina xray lang namin kasi may ubo si baby.At yun may lumabas nga na ganong result

so enlarge pala ang heart niya, i advise sis, na you take immediate action on this kasi yun anak ko may heart deffect pero walang enlargement of the heart. every 6 months ang 2d echo ng anak ko for monitoring. so far Ok naman sya, I wish nga ma outgrow niya ito. kasi ang prublema sa kanya is masikip ang pulmonary valve. pero nag taka kami kasi bumaba ang pressure niya on his last 2d echo, his cardio even told us last year that my son will have to undergo heart procedure soon, pero dahil nga sa good result of his last 2d echo, hindi ito natuloy. Thank God.

Going back sa case ng baby mo, don't worry kasi pwedeng wala naman yun kasi x-ray cannot diagnose a heart deffect, only 2d echo done by a Pedia Cardio can. Its better to do the 2d echo the soonest possible time para aware kayo sa situation ng baby mo. Sipunin and ubuhin ba sya sis? kasi it's one of the signs eh...

hi sis! ayun nahospital si baby gawa ng parahilar pneumonitis pero ok na siya ngaun at least hindi CHD

Just to give you an update to my son's condition. He is 2y.o and 10 months. During our recent visit to his Cardiologist, his 2d echo showed a lot of positive improvements. the most impressive was the reduced pressure. His heart is very healthy and no other problems beside the inborn narrowed pulmonary valve. his next  test is on June 2011, ECG only. God really answers prayers.

kapag ubuhin at sipunin ba may heat problem agad?

Pag may VSD (or may butas sa puso) talagang sipunin at ubuhin plus other symptoms, of course, and it can only be confirmed by  a doctor.

Share ko my story..

My baby has PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus)... Nanghina ako nung nalaman ko na meron siya nito. tapos nalaman ko pa na dahil yun sa di sapat na paghinga ni baby nung paglabas niya. Sa unang langhap palang ng hangin ni baby dapat magsasara na siya. Nakakalungkot tanggapin pero kailangan niya mag pacatether method because naapektohan na ang puso niya. We will be undergo it on October. Hopefully maging successful at okay ito after nun... He's now turning 4months on October 4...
