sis kulotski, if i were to change OB-GYNE mid-pregnancy, i will inform my current doctor about it. your reason is valid and if your current one is professional enough, she will understand and make your transfer of doctors a painless one.

of course you have the right to change doctors! you should be with one you will feel most comfortable with, within your budget, not so far from your place and other considerations you may deem important.

good luck!

I talked about it with my current OB na. She didn't miss a beat, basta if things don't go so well with the OB I'm gonna switch to I can switch back to her daw. Sayang nga e, I really like her pa naman kaso yun nga, budget issues lang.  ;D And to some extent, distance din. We spend about 2 hours all in all travelling from her clinic in Greenhills every check-up because of traffic.

^ Astred Clarissa, it's up to you naman in the end kung lilipat ka. Can't your mom come with you sa current hospital mo?  ;D

mga mommies please help.

today ang 1st check up ko sa new OB. I'm still worried kung ano ba sasabihin ko bakit ako nagpapa consult sa kanya. Do you think she will still ask the reason?

I changed my OB when I was on my 4th month of my pregnancy. The main reason was my OB and her affiliated hospital was not covered by Maxicare.

I told her the truth and she even referred me to another OB from Medical City which is also affiliated at Lourdes Hospital. Then my first OB, Dra. Milan gave me a referral letter para bigay ko kay Dra. Sese, yung ni-refer niyang OB. Binasa niya yung history nung previous check-up from Dra. Milan.

@Dada08, you can tell to your new OB na mas accessible yung place niya at mas afford mo yung maternity expenses. Wag mo nalang silang compare dalawa. They will not take it against you naman kasi nagsasabi kalang naman ng totoo. Just be polite lang kapag nagsasalita and don’t say “bad” things about sa previous OB mo.

had my check ups w/ my new OB. she's very nice! :)

hi sis

Dra. Sese is my OB. I really love her. I gave birth last Dec 18 2011 sa JDMH via NSD. I had 2 OB before her but she accepted me with two open arms. Mabaet sya at maganda pa. She discuss to you the things  na dapat malaman mo, hehe. Lastly, pareho kameng thomasian kea siguro kampante ako. ;D

hi mga mommies! Im on my 35th week na po.  ganito kasi., i started having my prenatal chek-up on my 2nd month in Alabang Med until my 4th month. since mahal po kasi ang NSD sa knila nghanap ako ng mas mura . Since my philhealth naman ako at voter ng muntinlupa., my landlady suggested na sa osmun ako. Then sabi niya kelangan sa center muna ko pa-chek-up para daw me record ako. So dun ako pa-chek-up  up until my 71/2 month. After that ni-refer na nila ko sa osmun since dun ko gusto manganak cause of money issues. Then she told me na when the time comes na manganganak na ko at marami kaming sabay-sabay., hndi ako priority since kakasimula sa kanila. Kinabahan naman ako kasi nga iniisip ko is yung budget. Since ala naman akong pinag-papa-che-upan na ibang OB. I had 2 check-ups pa with her, 81/2  mo.  ko na now. Then i was absent  last tues.  kasi sumasakit pempem ko and sakit ng likod and balakang ko . So punta ko sa kanya since me sched sya dun the next day.  hen she saw me bkit daw andun ako dapat next week pa. I told her my concer. Then that expression again ( yung parang dismayado with matching buntong hiniga) then said " ma,am that's normal in every pregnancy" and so on.... Then asked "what's the point of going here?" sabi ko un lang naman ang concern ko... She told me she can't give me medcert just for that. Eh mahigpit pa naman company namin. So wala ko nagawa. Ni-chek niya na lang heartbeat ni baby and she's fine. Eh ngaun gusto ko na sana mag PROA (prolong absene) eh kelangan ko nga ng medcert from my ob. And i needed to have her signed my sss sickness form kasi naghihinayan nga ko sa 1 month., eh nahihirapan nako sa work ko kasi pang-gabi na eh malayo pa.
Pwede pa po kaya ko mag-patingin sa ibang OB?  another thing is medyo nakaka-intimidate tong OB  lalo na hen she does that dismayado look. Di alam if naiinis sya or hat. help pls.

@almirafe
I don't know kung pwedeng i-report ang Doctor sa pagiging masungit and not ready to help, but then it willl cause more tension on both of you lalo na kung siya ang magpapaanak sa iyo diba?
I changed OB on the last month of my 1st pregnancy kasi we like our OB but she doesn't want to do delivery on our choice of hospital kahit pwede naman sa hospital na gusto namin. Mabuti siyang kausap and sabi niya "alam ko na gusto ninyo sa akin but for your convinience I understand hindi ka pwede dito manganak sa hospital ko. Just the same, hindi din convenient sa akin magpaanak sa ibang hospital". We understand her kaya she referred us to the OB she knows sa hospital na gusto namin.

If I were you, hahanap ako ng ibang OB for a 2nd opinion sa pain na nararamdaman ko and if there's  any safe meds I can take. If given attention, ask na rin ako ng med cert. Bear in mind na baka kilala niya yung OB mo so huwag ka nang magkuwento ng makakasira. Having checked by another OB shouldn't mean na magpapalit ka ng OB ulit at siya ang magpapaanak sayo. Check up lang.

I changed my OB at 21 weeks, ok naman. Basta bring with you your lab test s/histories mo sa dating OB mo.

« Reply #29 on: August 17, 2014, 09:20:23 pm »

Hi Mommies!

I'm worried po kc about my 2nd pregnancy I'm n my 28 weeks now. Will they still accept me kahit nasa 3rd trimester na ako?

Any recommended OB from Pampanga yung cheaper po.
