My Simple Fried Rice
« on: January 17, 2012, 01:24:31 pm »

Here’s my version of fried rice.

Tip: I cook the eggs together with the mixed veggies. I don’t pour the beaten eggs directly to the almost done fried rice like in the usual instructions to cook it, nor fry or scramble them first then chop. It seems that doing so takes a longer time incorporating all the ingredients and mixing the fried rice. (Sakit sa kamay  ;D)

Ingredients:

4-5 cups cooked rice (much better if the rice is less sticky)
1 cup cooked mixed veggies (I use the greenpeas, carrots, and corn kernels mix)
2 eggs, beaten (seasoned with salt and pepper)
˝ cup Chinese chorizo (also known as Chorizong Macau), chopped
1 ˝ teaspoon garlic, chopped
1 ˝ tablespoon onion, chopped
1 sachet (2 grams) Maggi Magic Sarap
˝ shrimp bouillon cube
1 cup peeled cooked shrimps (optional)

Here’s how:

1) Sauté garlic and onions, then add the Chinese chorizo and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
2) Add the peeled shrimps, mixed veggies and shrimp bouillon.  Continue stir-frying and let it cook for another 2 minutes.
3) Add the beaten eggs to the sautéed mixed veggies, stirring until the egg is cooked and thoroughly mixed with the veggies.
4) Add the rice and Maggi Magic Sarap. Mix well for 2 to 3 minutes until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Please do share your own recipe of fried rice, too, mga sis! Thank you!  ;) :D
