NO to contraceptives. Please, let babies live.

I am against the use of contraceptives and surgical birth control procedures

Why? Contraceptives kill babies.

It prevents the implantation of the new life that was created.

Sabi nga sa isang novel na naging movie, "Life will find a way!"  Nagconnect pa rin...so nag-concceive sila, at nagrupture.  Each of them collapsed during their emergency and it was thought na appendix ang nag-rupture.

daddy jojo

Im proud of you.. grabe bihira lang ang lalaki na against sa contraceptives.. me either, I'm, really against of contraception.. dami naman ways eh nasa discipline lang talaga at good communication between husband and wife.. I don't want to take pills, kasi kahit sabihin nila na walang side effects, they are not sure about that.. mom was a pills user and she doesn't want me to use those. dami na niya kasi nararamdaman at the age of 40's..  ayaw ko din ng IUD. wahh sa itsura pa lang scary na pag inilagay yun.

and one more thing, makukunsinti ang mga kabataan to use those and practice premarital sex which is not good to them. Kasi if nakakuha sila ng sakit from having multiple sex partners or have an early pregnancy, kasalanan na ng may katawan yun.. kaya discipline, and fear to God lang kelangan. So I am also an advocate of this :)

regards po sa lahat.

hi daddyjojo!

I know I never killed my baby, kung mabuo man sya, Thanks to the Lord na di sya hinayaan na nawala sa womb ko.

Thank you so much

Thank you Aika, for taking a stand.

The true essence of being a parent and really loving children is going into the very heart of the issues about human life and how it is threatened by contraception and abortion.  We must defend the lives of innocent children who are the victims of these evil practices.

Calendar method is good for those with regular periods. Pano kung hindi regular? Any other choice? Thanks!

Dear chardonnay and mommy_jhen,

The Calendar Method is obsolete.  It is no longer considered among the Natural Family Planning Methods.

Please read  my comment here about "normal" or "regular" periods:

paano malaman kung safe/not fertile or unsafe?
http://www.smartparenting.com.ph/parentchat/index.php/topic,1092.msg821588.html#msg821588

Two-Day Method (pinaka-simple pero accurate)

Billings Ovulation Method
Basal Body Temperature Method
SymptoThermal Method
Lactational Amenorrea (Breastfeeding) Method

Porsuelo's Method and Values

Pills, Injectibles and other Contraceptives not only kill babies (chemical abortion) and women (Breast Cancer, blood clots, other deadly illnesses)...their poison also kill the environment, affecting food supply...leading to more unnecessary deaths in the world!

£30bn bill to purify water system after toxic impact of contraceptive pill
Drug firms oppose an EU call for controls on potent chemicals that have been blamed for the gender mutation of freshwater fish
Robin McKie, science editor
guardian.co.uk, Saturday 2 June 2012 22.35 BST
http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2012/jun/02/water-system-toxic-contraceptive-pill

Britain faces a £30bn bill to clean up rivers, streams and drinking water supplies contaminated by synthetic hormones from contraceptive pills. Drastic reductions in these chemicals, which have been linked to collapses in fish populations, are proposed in the latest European Union water framework directive.

But the plan, which would involve upgrading the sewage network and significantly increasing household water bills, is controversial. Water and pharmaceutical companies dispute the science involved and argue the costs are prohibitive. By contrast, many environmental researchers say the proposal is sound. Ethinyl estradiol (EE2), the main active ingredient of contraceptive pills, can trigger a condition known as intersex in freshwater fish, which has caused significant drops in populations in many species – although no links have yet been made with human health. "That does not mean we will not find impacts in future," said toxicologist Professor Richard Owen of Exeter University. "But do we want to wait until we see effects in humans, as we did with thalidomide and BSE, or do we act before harm is done?"

It took 50 years!  Fifty long years (since the first contraceptives were introduced in the 1950's)...after many babies and women have already died.  And we're finding out slowly.

Mom warns birth control killed her daughter
Posted: 05/22/2012
By: By Kim Russell, wxyz.com

Family and friends of 25-year-old Shantinique Burns gathered at the Christian Tabernacle Church in Southfield, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, to remember her life Monday morning during funeral services.

“I said goodbye on Mother’s Day,” said her mom as she prepared to lay her daughter to rest.

Natalie Rogers says she gave birth to Shantinique on Father’s Day almost 26 years ago, and the grad student’s death on Mother’s Day was senseless.

Doctors say Shantinique suffered an aneurysm while driving in Madison Heights earlier this month.  She never woke up.

“It doesn’t make sense.  She never had any health problems.  No headaches.  Nothing,” said Rogers.

Then a medical worker asked her whether her daughter was on the birth control medication Yaz.

“It was the only medication she was on,” said Rogers.

Rogers started researching the drug.

“This is a side effect.  It is her cause of death,” said Rogers.

Doctors told her there is no way to prove conclusively that the drug caused the aneurysm, but there is circumstantial evidence.

Rogers learned the drug produced by Bayer Healthcare brought with it higher blood clotting risks than other birth control pills according to several studies.

An aneurysm is a bulge in a blood vessel often caused by blood clots.

According to Bayer’s annual report, “As of February 1, 2012, there were about 11,300 lawsuits pending in the United States served upon Bayer on behalf of persons alleged to have suffered personal injuries, some of them fatal, from the use of Bayer’s oral contraceptive products Yasmin™ and/or YAZ™ or from the use of Ocella™ and/or Gianvi™, generic versions of Yasmin™ and YAZ™, respectively, marketed by Barr Laboratories, Inc. in the United States.”

The report provided for stockholders says most of the lawsuits claim Bayer should have known about alleged risks and should be held liable for failing to disclose risks.  The company reached settlements with about 70 patients and expected more lawsuits.

All birth control pills come with risk.  With most about 2-4 out of 10,000 patients will experience blood clots.

With Yaz and Yasmin some studies say the risk is 2 to 3 times greater.

Totoo nga ang sabi ni Daddy Jojo. This is from SP article Birth Control Pills: What you Need to Know
Birth control pills work by preventing your ovaries from releasing an egg, thinning your uterus lining so that even if an egg is fertilized, it cannot become implanted, and by thickening the cervical mucus so that sperm is blocked from reaching an egg and fertilizing it.
http://www.smartparenting.com.ph/mom-dad/mom-dad-health/birth-control-pills-what-you-need-to-know/page/1

May difference pa rin ang beliefs natin. Some believe that life starts from the 1st heartbeat. Others is from conception.

The definition of pregnancy, or when life begins...was changed in 1965 by the  American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' (ACOG).  Why?  So that Ob-Gynes can prescribe contraceptives without being accused of abortion or murder.

"Why did ACOG engaged in this pseudo-scientific sleight of hand? Its motives involved both morality and money. In 1965 Roe v. Wade was still 8 years away, and abortion was illegal throughout the United States. Most Americans still equated abortion with murder and wanted nothing to do with it. If hormonal contraceptives prevented implantation--and they do--then most Americans would reject them on the grounds that they caused early-term abortions.

By redefining pregnancy to begin after implantation, ACOG attempted to avoid the charge that its members, in prescribing hormonal contraceptives, were actually encouraging, if not performing, early-term abortions.

Add to this the fact that--already apparent in 1965--that hormonal contraceptives would be big money. The obstetrician-gynecologists that we have spoken with estimate that half of an ob-gyn's practice--and thus half their profits--comes from prescribing pills and implants. Under the new definition of pregnancy, ob-gyns could write such prescriptions without bothering to tell their patients that they were actually violating the Hippocratic Oath by causing abortions." Source: Contraception Is Never Abortion? It Depends On What the Meaning Of "Pregnant Is -- www.pop.org"

"Most U.S. doctors believe pregnancy starts when the sperm fertilizes the egg, a survey shows, contradicting the position of a key medical group with a view that could potentially affect U.S. policy and laws regarding contraception and research." Source: Survey: U.S. doctors disagree on pregnancy start -- Reuters.com

"The purposes of this study are to assess the use of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' (ACOG) definitions of conception (a synonym for implantation) and the beginning of pregnancy (at implantation) in the clinical practice of its members and to explore the implications of differing definitions of conception and pregnancy onset for the process of informed consent....50% (48 of 96) indicated that pregnancy began at fertilization"
