Don Henrico’s – Brickroad Branch
Rating: 10/10Food – good food. The price is super sulit. Our guests enjoyed the food at super busog daw sila. Don Hen staff allowed us na maglagay din ng plates na may pizza, potato wedges and nachos per table. Kasi nung mag-resume na yung program eh hindi na tumatayo yung ibang guests para kumuha ulit ng food. Siguro ayaw makadistract sa program.
Service – two thumbs up! There were 4 staff assigned sa buffet table to serve ng food. 2 staff sa drinks. And another 4 staff (trainees) na nakatayo sa loob ng party area para mag-monitor ng mga kelangan ng guests. So bawat lingon ng guest may staff silang makikita like hingi ng tissue, abot ng straw etc etc. Our reservation is at 2pm. Me, daughter and my grandma arrived at 12:30nn to check sa set-up, decors saka para ayusin yung mga game prizes na dala namin. Pag baba namin sa car, sinalubong na kami agad ng mga staff para tulungan magbuhat ng mga things saka ng cake. At sobrang natuwa ako sa nagbuhat ng cake namin kasi super ingat na ingat talaga sya. They also helped us ayusin sa table yung mga game prizes na dala namin tapos yung tarpaulin na dala ko para gawing welcome banner sabi ko pakitalian na lang sa door or dikit ng scotch tape. After few minutes nakita ko kinabit nila sa standee. Yehey! Ang babait talaga nila. Yung 1 staff na rin ang tumao sa registration table ko, distribute ng plastic shades and birthday wishes card and pens sa mga guests. Ang lagi kong kausap tuwing visit ako sa store saka tawag sa phone eh si Ms. Rocel. She really is super nice.
Venue – no question about it, the restaurant is nice and clean. It gives the “sosyal” feeling sabi ng mga guests ko. I like the tables and chairs. The tables for buffet, cake and game prizes have skirting too. They have a party area which can accommodate 100 guests tapos may parang sliding partition lang doon na kung marami ang guests ioopen lang nila. The store can accoomodate 150 guests without booth set-up.
Restriction – almost no restrictions. Kahit anong theme puede. Kahit anong food cart puede rin. Any décor and booths okay din sa kanila. They will just charge electricity fee kung gagamit ng kuryente. No bringing of food items lang na katulad ng menu nila.
Balloons & Décor – Kiko’s Balloons
Rating: 10/10My décor supplier is the in-house supplier of Don Hen. The owner, Kristine, is a nice person (not to mention pretty sya kaya pleasant kausap hehe) mabilis sya sumagot sa text every question ko may reply sya. Her packages are flexible, she can work on your budget. Last March 31, nagkita kami sa Don Hen (party ni sis Boj) at na-finalize na naming yung mga details ko. I upgraded and changed some stuff. Two weeks before the event may mga pinabago ako sa mga kukunin ko (downgrade), MIL kasi in & out sa hospital and scheduled for an operation kaya feeling ko we needed to cut on some costs so we can give support to her kahit paano. I was so glad that Krsitine understood our situation and she said na okay lang daw. On the day of the party, maaga sila nagset-up at lahat ng napagusapan namin nasunod lahat. My relatives told me ang ganda daw ng set-up kasi bagay na bagay sa rockstar theme. Kahit hindi ganun kabongga yung pinagawa kong decors maganda ang kinalabasan.
Kiddie lootbags are from Kiko’s too. Candies and small toys inside tissue-pouch wrapped with mini balloons. Kaya lahat ng kids natuwa kasi lahat sila may mini-balloons na naiuwi.
Entertainment – Ms. Lhen Peralta
Rating: 10/10I got her php 4,500.00 package (hosting, ventri, balloon twisting and magic tricks). I feel like her TF is all worth it (kahit magbigay ka pa ng tip at gift sulit pa rin). My guests enjoyed. One mom texted me and said “I love your host”. Some of the guests natuwa sa kanya kasi all-in-one na daw sya hehe. I mentioned how much her TF and they said na mura daw si Ms. Lhen. May free bubble machine pa!
She came to the venue early, I think past 1pm. I gave her some of the materials na napag-usapan naming ako ang gagawa (customized yung program and some of the games). Sya na nag-coordinate sa mga staff ng Don Hen that she needs this, she needs that. All the kids enjoyed pati yung toddlers (like 2 and 3 years old) nakaupo talaga sa floor to watch her performance. I have a guest na wala pang 1 year old yung anak niya pero nanonood din ng balloon twisting as if alam niya yung pinapanood niya haha! The adults enjoyed her too. Pati mga staff ng Don Hen nanood din sa performance niya super tawa din sila sa ventri act. I think plus factor talaga kapag good looking ang host kasi nakakaagaw agad ng atensiyon. Lhen is pretty and bubbly at maganda yung costume niya na rockstar din.
Photo Coverage – Primera Litratista
Rating: 9/10Photographer came in late. So during set-up ako na nag-shots ng ibang items namin. Nagkataon lang din na madaming guests ang late kaya okay lang na nag-start kami ng late. Super traffic daw kaya madami ang na-late. Nakabawi naman sa hard work dahil pagdating sa venue eh trabaho agad sya kaya wala namang na-miss na kuhanan. I just reviewed the pictures this afternoon at super natuwa ako sa shots. Happy faces I can see sa pictures. It captured our moment and I can feel na even after many years, my daughter will still remember her 8th birthday party in full details. I am again a satisfied client of them!
Cake – Iko’s Bakeshop
Rating: 9/10Iko’s never lets me down talaga. From staff servicing hangang sa pick-up ko ng cake wala talaga akong problema sa kanila. I got a 2-tier choco moist cake for only php 2,405.00 all edible (except syempre yung styro na patungan for each layer). Cake size is 12” and 8” rounds. I gave them a print out of the design my daughter wants, tapos sulat sulat lang yung ibang details na gusto ko ipabago. Yung size ng guitar lang yung hindi nagaya. It’s made of gumpaste din kasi hindi daw kaya pag super malaki yung guitar sa tuktok. But overall they gave us a cake na talagang natuwa ang daughter ko.

Game Prizes, Giveaways & Lootbags

Rating: 10/10Value for money! I started buying mga toys for game prizes siguro mga end of February or early March pa. everytime punta ako sa mall I make it a point na makabili ng few pieces from the sale items. I set a target cost sa items na bibilhin ko kasi tendency eh makabili ng mas mahal na items pag nakita na maganda. My target was php 60.00 maximum price per piece. At na-achieve ko naman yun. Ibang items tag-20 each lang. Talagang tyagaan lang po sa paghahanap ng sale items. All the toys are from department stores and toy stores. The plastic shades which were given upon arrival of kids are from divi naman (php 75.00 for 1 dozen). For the adults (game prizes) I bought 6 pieces of Frey chocolate bars at php85.00 each. Natuwa naman yung mga nanalo sa adult game.
Costume – Pasig Night Market
Rating: 10/10 (credits to me!)I bought my daughter’s rockstar costume last March pa from Pasig night market. I was looking for a particular costume na babagay sa theme pero I don’t have an exact image on my mind. So for 2hours ikot ako ng ikot sa Pasig (hangang sa hihikain na ko sa init), just when I was about to give up at uuwi na.. Voila! I found the perfect costume na naka-hanger! I was so happy. As in last piece na yung damit na yun at sobrang sabi ko sakto ang sukat nito for my daughter. I bought it at php400.00 only set na sya.
I bought a gown rin na for costume change sana pag middle na yung party pero hindi na nasuot kasi busyng-busy daughter ko sa program. Saying nga yung dress eh, its php650.00 only. Never been used. Thinking of selling it na lang.
DIY – Invitation, Birthday Wish Card, Thank You & Name Tags
(credits to me!) DIY ko ang invites, TY cards and birthday wish cards. Invites I made mga 2 weeks before the party, ako nag-layout, bought photo paper sa NBS at gamit ang printer sa house. Tyaraaaaan! Mukang may potential naman ako sa arts hehe!

Attitude and Discipline – everyone made confirmation as early as possible naman. Yung mga hindi makakapunta nagsabi din ng maaga that they can’t make it. It helped me a lot sa budgeting at ordering ng food. Although meron pa ring nag-confirm tapos di naman dumating, konti lang naman kaya okay lang. Come party time merong mga late nakarating pero okay lang kasi I understand na super super traffic daw talaga.
Participation – kahit late bawi naman sila sa participation sa program. Sa adult games bigay todo rin sila na kala mo house & lot ang premyong pinaglalabanan kaya yung ibang guests tawa ng tawa.
Gift – sobrang happy ang daughter ko sa mga gifts na natanggap niya. Some of my friends texted me na beforehand kung anong ideal gift for my daughter. I just said “something useful” (they know naman madami ng kalat sa bahay namin dahil sa mga toys). At ako naman happy sa mga cash gift hehe!
