Its nice to know mommy dianne a nakapili na daughter mo ng course, hopefully maenjoy niya ang college life ...at sana yan na talaga yung gusto niya :)  my mom was also like that when i was about to go to college eh kaso she doesnt have any course in mind and i pursued pharma at that time na hindi naman indemand ..when i graduated, indemand na sya I was only eighteen nung magraduate hehe... I do agree with sis mommy france, well compensated and pharma industry plus even if you dont go to work, the company would still pay for your license and no need to do the 8 hour job or if field work ka, you own your time. Its like salary + allowance + license fee

what's important is that she gets into the course that she is passionate about. wag mong piliting pumasok sa course na wala sa puso niya, kasi kung gawin mo yun, magdrodrop out din yan eventually. give your daughter the freedom to make her own decisions for her life. it's her turn to take care of herself.

ang magandang course is engineering kahit yung mga walang board exams na type of engineering courses ok na yun.

pero ang maganda sis for our kids kung ano ang gusto nila at kung saan sila magaling, pero may mga bata and even adults who do not know what they want in life, so as parents dito tayo papasok bilang guide nila.  i'd say engineering because wherever you go in an organization or ma pa business talaga namang magagamit mo sya in your life.

When I was planning for a course to take waaay back (hehe), the piece of advice I received was to look for a degree/course:

* that I would enjoy/love
* that I would excel in/have considerable skills in (eg. writing? art? culinary? people skills? math? etc.)
* that has a great market/demand (yung madami at quality ang mga trabaho na mapapasukan)
* that my parents can afford

I think this is also the same advice I would give my son -- but that's 16 years from now pa naman, hehe. (Ooops, sakop na nga pala sya sa K+12...so about 18 years from now?)  :)

Business management is a very good course because it builds so much discipline and you get explore the different areas of study such as math, science and communication. It's very flexible too and will give you a higher chance of getting hired in a good company in the future.

Multimedia Arts is also very good because it is very in demand in the United States right now. If you're on the creative side, you should definitely give it a try. I regret taking Psychology instead of Multimedia Arts because I am a lover of the arts but I guess, it's never too late to learn something new.
