May annual spreadsheet din ako. Same with mommy Clueless, nakabreakdown on monthly basis. If merong anticipated extra expenses for the next month, iniinfom ko na agad asawa ko on the preceding month pa lang para di kulangin budget. Sa basic needs usually nageexceed talaga kami sa budget. As for the wants, pinaplano muna then set ng schedule when to purchase them.

My budgetting naman is

food weekly ang budget - so by sunday ang grocery ko for the whole week na allocation sa food, lahat lahat na
kasama na din needs ni baby ko.

bills- schedule na sya so first week of the month is naka stapled na ang money para sa bills
emergency fund- cash sya na nakatago every month ko nilalagyan para if meron emergency i dont need to go to atm pa

minsan na short ako before the day of the sweldo. hehe pero nababawi naman agad, minsan din naman sobra so i keep it aside for short days. hindi kasi talaga malalaman kelan makaka gasto ka ng malaki.

I hope this article can give suggestions
Making Your Family Budget Airtight

Sabi dun: Tackle your needs first

Basic food,
Shelter (rent/amortization)
Basic clothing,
Education (tuition, kid's school allowances)
Utilities (water, electricity, transportation, communication)
etc

Then you make a "Want list" and itemize it according to importance
Cable TV
Internet Connection (other parents would claim this as a need, though)
Newspapers/Magazines
etc

Think of the needs first then later na yung wants kung meron pang matitira.  Here's an example:

SAVINGS                                   20%
RENT/ AMORTIZATION          30%
FOOD                                        30%
TRANSPORTATION               10%
UTILITIES                                 10%

Since nakatira pa kami sa parents ko and di pa talaga kami nagsasama ng mister ko, di pa ako ganoon ka-open sa budgetting. Ang nababudget ko lang as for now is yung binibigay ni hubby panggastos sa mga anak namin and yung salary ko. Yun nga lang medyo hirap what more pa po kaya yung sa inyo.
Di pa kasama sa mga iniisip ko yung other expenses like food, electric and water bill, house rental, etc.

Ako din I made my own spreadsheet para sa budget.

Hi, Moms! Can you share your saving/budgeting tips? As a full-time and WAHM, I find it challenging to manage my monthly household budget, but I do survive every month!  ;D Can you give tips? Mine are:
1. I set a weekly budget for grocery. Good thing i'm still breastfeeding so I save a lot on milk (formula)!
2. I have a shopping list; and
3. I buy items on sale;

Looking forward to your tips, moms!

pareho kami ng husband ko na earning to support the family... ako nagbu-budget... i wont sugarcoat, mahal talaga na bumukod, pero that's the reality or growing up and having your own family talaga ata...

i use the envelope method for my budget. i have a list of all the bills and gastos for one month tapos i have envelopes that i put the alloted money in everytime i withdraw our sweldo from the atm...

so far it works for my family..

This is what my husband and I do every month. We practice this motto/equation:
income - savings/investment = expenses.
Then we had spreadsheet of all our expenses. With our remaining money after removing savings and investments (peso bond mutual fund and stock market), we prepared schedule on allotment of money on each expense based on our salary schedule.

Then we practice envelope system for recurring expenses and pay at once system for once a month expenses. We pay at once salary is received on the 15th the following once a month expenses --- electricity, telephone, internet, cable tv, salaries of house helps and monthly dues with water. Then the remaining money for recurring expenses such as food, water, diaper, baby's milk, etc., we place each in an envelope with corresponding label that is good for a month's consumption. Take for example groceries/food, we allot STICTLY 2T per week budget (so for a month we place 8T) in the groceries envelope.

Eh bad trip starting last November monthly dues in condo may VAT na. When we computed our usual dues with VAT, it will go over our budget. So what we did since included ang water bill in monthly dues, what we try to control the flow of water from faucet. So I told our house helps to slowly open the faucet para hindi mabilis ang metro ng tubig. So far this tipid style helps. As we are paying same amount that we paid before VAT. So na-maintain namin within our budget.

Even though we have much expenses, we don't go over-budget. Surprisingly, we always have sobra or sukli in each envelope. Yung sobra we deposit to our savings every end of the monthly cycle. So lumalabas na may additional savings pa kami every month even after removing the savings/investment from the start. Laking tipid. Ang ending pa nga we get to reward ourselves with luho sa sobra/sukli ng mga expenses namin. We do not get our luho from our original savings. Instead we get it from sukli in our expenses.
