Mga Teenagers Na Marunong Manahi

Hi, my 11 yr old daughter has a thing with saving money. We managed to open a savings  acct of her own out of her own savings. This summer, since she doesn't have allowance. She wants to make her own money to continue saving. Does anyone know where she can make a few bucks? I kinda like the mcdonald's summer kiddie crew but they don't really pay the kids. I think my daughter is open to any job as long as she has an activity to keep her busy to make the most of the few weeks left before she goes back to school.

Naka-relate ka ba? Mag Reply para makapagpost ng katanungan o payo.

Most talaga don't pay so better if you venture her into business or if you have any relative na may business.
A boss here in my company siya pa nagbayad sa restaurant para makapag-kiddie crew yung anak niya. Sulit naman daw kasi enjoy yung anak niya and experience ang habol.

Pero kung gusto mo ituro ay how to handle money, bigyan mo siya ng puhunan then see kung kaya niyang palakihin or yun nga, ask a relative na may business if she could help in exchange, may kaunting salary -enough para sa responsibilities na kaya niya.

Bad things may happen to me, but I will always come out of it with my head up high. Why? Because I know that I did the things I can control the right way. And the things I can't control, I leave it up to God's will.

For summer, hectic din ang schedule ng kids because of the summer lessons but for my eldest, I'm planning to teach her in selling stuff in Ebay. That's how I started being a work at home mom, in E-bay. O kaya selling on OLX. You just need to supervise them.

I would often hold weekend garage sale during summers from old clothes, books and toys of my daughters.  We have to sort first clothes which they have outgrown, toys that they don't play with, and books which we deem would help other kids learn.

Sometimes, I'd assign tasks for my kids to do in exchange of a fee, like doing some age-appropriate household cleaning.  It's not necessarily for their savings but teaching them the value of hard-earned money.

Hello! I agree with you, children should be taught to handle money from childhood. In the summer, my eldest son worked in the library, then in the store, so he learns financial literacy.
