Wow, I like this topic!  Yes, there so many places where you can put your savings other than the banks....you can put it into mutual funds, stocks or equities, government bonds, pagibig, pensions, insurance and much much more!  For more info, check out mutual funds in the Philippines or the book Pera Mo, Palaguin Mo by Francisco Colayco.  You may also visit the websites of different banks and you will see that there are more to money than just putting it into a savings/current account.

hi mga sis!

@anhing sis  ask ko lang hindi ba nakakatakot sa mutual fund ng sunlife? (example sunlife ) kasi hindi natin alam kung for the next 5 to 10 yrs ok pa din sila? natanong ko lang curious ako.

hi sis, si sunlife lang nagmamanage ng investment but it's not like an insurance company (cap, etc.) na sa kanila nak-invest yung money mu. here, it's like sunlife will also invest it in another entity na market ang ngddictate kung magkanu interest na ma-eearn mu. pareho lang halos kung sa bank ka mag-invest ng mutual fund. well that's what i know, perhaps a nother mom who knows more about it;s nature can help..

and ang maganda dun sa nakuha ku, i can withdraw and pull it out at a certain year kahet hinde pa sya matured.

i think pag na-orient ka sa nature ng investment like that of the mutual fund, hinde kn matatakot. i had my inkling with sunlife at first, i suggest you prepare all your questions pg nkaharap mu na yung agent nila, before ka din mg-sign-up.

good luck sis!  ;)
