gusto kong house bungalow na asian/balinese type with a big garden, ayoko pala ng malaking house, most esp sa inidividual rooms. gusto ko sakto lang ang bed and built in closets. i'd rather na ang TV nasa isang common area, either living room or kung afford a family room. syempre pangarap ko ang garden (aanhin ko ang balinese house na walang garden hehe)

pero syempre kelangan maging practical. hinde ko afford e hahaha so in 2009 when I was 27yo, i bought a townhouse here sa lower antipolo/marikina area. 72sqm lot size with a pocket garden in front and at the back, 85sqm 2 storey house with 3 bedrooms, 1 maid's room, 2 t&b and a garage.

to achieve my 'design' philosophy, i kept everything muted. outside, my walls are just off white, with dark brown highlights (window frames, doors and doorjambs etc) inside, medyo breezy/cool colors naman. grayish blue tinge yung walls, gray/white ceiling and ALL my furnitures are earth tones, dark browns, mahogany, creams. no direct lighting except sa kitchen. lahat recessed lights and in 'daylight' ito yung parang yellowish yung tinge ng light pero  hinde naman light bulb, basta effect lang.

i guess what i want to say is, maganda talaga ang may 'dream' house ka. may vision ka of what you want to have and achieve. sometimes though you have to bend a little pag hinde talga kaya yung dream mo but it doesn't mean you won't try hard to get as close to it as you can.

It's my 3rd year in my house. single pa rin ako. pero maraming memories na sa house na yun. it's all mine and i brought my daughter 'home' when she was just 3 days old. now that's a dream come true.

@mommy_s

What I suggest mag-canvass ka muna ng materials na gagamitin then compute mo. Although hassle free sana kapag pina-kontrata yung gagawin kaya lang you cant be sure of the quality ng service na irerender nila esp if you are not around.

In our case, sobrang natuwa kami sa ginawa nung nag-tiles ng flooring and t&b namin. Akala ko din nun wala kaming alam na gagawa then when we opened up sa family namin, ayun we got referrals :) medyo nagastos ako sa labor kasi free food nila. Hehe!

ang cutie patootie naman ng topic na to, Yea, everybody has their own DREAM HOME for their family :) sometimes may mga hindrance lang like, its too pricey, the location is already saturated etc., pero one thing is for sure, all we want is a comfortable and well secured home for our family.
I am a real estate consultant, sometimes akala ng iba puro benta lang ang gusto namin mga agents, pero there are 2 types of agent kasi, 1.) MONEY is the name Agent  and lastly is the with a HEART agent. :) hahaha.
And i Am proud to say na lahat ng clients ko mahal na mahal ako dahil I dont only sell our projects to them, i also make it sure na yun na talaga gusto nila, kasi at the end of the day, its their safety and comfortability will matters, :) Kaya mga Mommies out there, when choosing a home, pls make it sure na di dahil lang sa mura kaya kayo bibili, make sure na its what your heart wants. and besides, kung sa mga gadgets nga di tayo naghihinayang mag labas ng malaking pera, na after a month or two lang Laos na, Property Investments is much better mga sis, kasi Yearly tumataas ang value nun. :)

To achieve my dream home, we will buy an empty lot.  Then my hubby, architect, will design our dream home.  I just hope that we can find an empty lot in the city na super mura and flood-free.  Hehe.  *wishful thinking*

ongoing pa ang house construction namin pero malapit na matapos, kakatuwa kasi every weekend may site visit kami and super happy and fulfilling na unti-unting nabubuo ang dream house namin..ours is a 3-storey, modern type, 5-bedroom house with 4 t&b ( 2 rooms for the kids, 1 guest room, master bedroom and 1 maid's room), plus family room and a small library..sa ground floor syempre may living room, dining, kitchen, service area and a 2-car garage..initially the plan was to build a 2-storey house lang sana, but since medyo small ang lot, we decided na 3-storey na lang to maximize the space..but then, we were able to acquire yung katabing lot pero late na to revise the house plan pa, but the good part is lumaki ang garden/paygound for the kids..this weekend, we'll scout for tiles na, we have to finalize na what tiles to use, pati colors ng paint etc...canvassing pa kami sa gagawa ng kitchen and walk-in closet, our target is to move in before our daughter's 1st bday on june..hopefully, matapos na para party preps naman ang aasikasuhin ko :)

we already started paying na para sa aming future home...siguro in 2 yrs time eh makakalipat na din kami, since yun line of work ni hubby eh siya na bahala sa mga construction etc, ako na lang pipili ng mga gamit and paints...dapat may garden kahit maliit, gusto ko kasi ng may mga herbs, vegies na tanim..a garage kahit for 1 car lang...and balcony...house and lot na kasi kinuha namin...so yung loob na lang talaga yung need ayusin...:)

This topic is very timely for me kasi final inspection na namin sa aming dream home by Monday :) Super thankful ako kay God sa blessings!

What we did to achieve this, I guess biggest factor ang prayers and more prayers.:)

It's our second year paying for our condo. It's a small 2-bedroom unit lang naman, just right for us na starting up pa lang. Since we bought it on their pre-selling period, we have yet to move in kase patapos pa lang yung building namin. Right now nagse-save kame for the renovation and furniture.

Tgis is how we built our house. It was hard kasi foreigner husband ko and medyo mahal charge contractors. You can read it on my blog http://missbillygoat993.blogspot.com/2014/06/how-to-build-house-in-philippines.html?m=1 maybe i can help base on our experience our house end up costing a lot since during finishing stage we travel to bring in fixtures. But well worth it naman. We didnt hire designer we just search online and put thibgs together. You can leave me a msg there maybe I can help with suppliers
