@tsukino4

When you said 6 days after menstruation...that's after the first day of menstruation flow, right?  Kailangan kasi tama ang counting.  Day 1 should always be the first day of menstruation.  Therefore, 6 days plus the day of the first menstruation is 7 or Day 7.

Ano ba ang Fertility Cycle Length mo?

There are some women kasi who have a Cycle as short as 23 to 24 Days.  If you are one of them, then Day 7 is a fertile day.  Kaya may mga cases na kahit may mens pa, fertile na pala...nabubuntis.

Click to view this image in full size

Day 7 plus 5 days, is 12.  Day 12 is a Fertile Day for those whose Cycle is from 25 to 31 Days.

The most common Fertility Cycle Days are from 26 to 32 days.  This is why the Standard Days Method, a calendar-based Natural Family Planning technique, has been developed by Georgetown University in the US.

Bakit ka nag-take ng pills?  Parang mali pa ang gamit mo ng pills.  Possible na pregnant ka and I can feel from your words that you are suspecting this.

Hi! I had my menstruation I think December 16 or 17 then it got finished 20 (I guess; I can't remember but I know I had it on dec. 16 or 17) I was very drunk December 23 and had sex :/  But anyway I wanted to be sure. So December 24, I bought Nordette, took 4 pills at 1PM and took 4 pills again 1am (after 12 hours). Then the following days, I was having menstruational cramps (I can feel it eh, masakit talaga puson ko) and on December 30, I had blood on my panty. Alam ko menstruation siya because my puson really hurts eh. Pero 3 days lang nag last ito (30, 31, 1) and hindi gaano strong pero meron blood. My question is, that was menstruation right? Or is it another type of bleeding? Kaso kasi masakit talaga puson ko nun kaya alam ko it was menstruation.

I hope you can help me.

Sis Dora, kung ang cycle mo is 27 days or more, safe ka nun and no need to take the pills (Please view JO's chart). If however, your cycle is shorter like 23 or 24 days and nasa peak ka ng fertility mo that night, kahit ubusin mo yung isang banig ng pills ay hindi nito mapipigilan ang conception. Mas mabilis ang takbo ng sperm sa effectivity ng pills. Besides, hormonal contraceptive ang ginamit mo, iba yun sa morning-after pills na pang abort at hindi yun available sa Pilipinas.
Pills are hormones. Dinamihan mo ang take so nagkaron ka ng hormonal imbalance causing you to bleed. Please go see a doctor about your health and bleeding.

@dora12345

Uh, what did you think  were you supposed to be doing?

Were you trying to prevent yourself from getting pregnant?  With Nor-death...este...Nordette?

Contraceptives are very dangerous and deadly!

What you had, after attempting to get an overdose over an already high dosage contraceptive...was probably withdrawal bleeding.

Overdosage
Symptoms of oral contraceptive overdosage in adults and children may include nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, dizziness, abdominal pain, drowsiness/fatigue; withdrawal bleeding may occur in females.  There is no specific antidote and further treatment of overdose, if necessary, is directed to the symptoms.

Taking contraceptives, especially in a very wrong way, will not prevent you from getting pregnant.  You will still get pregnant...and when you do, what you did would result in your having a deformed or abnormal baby.

Pregnancy Category (US FDA)
Category X: Studies in animals or human beings have demonstrated foetal abnormalities....

Hi Nhiekaye,

Jan. 7 is Day 4.  Hindi pa fertile nun.  Safe pa, for those whose cycle is from 26 to 32 days (which is the range for many women).  Safe pa rin actually until today Fri., Jan. 10 (Day 7).

Keep on taking notes of dates and observations...involve mo rin si hubby.

Hi Elisabel21

Your concern is similar to the post I replied to...please go to:

Re: Morning After Pills or Emergency pills

Huwag kang basta-basta maniniwala sa nababasa mo sa internet.  Dapat properly referenced at may reliable source na pwede kang mag-verify.

If you need help in trying to find out if you could get pregnant, just provide some more information...like the date when the sexual intercourse happened and the date(s) of your first day of menstruation period.

Hi all. I hope someone can answer me. My son is 5 mo old and is purely breastfed. I got my period once - 4 months post partum but missed it this month. I had unprotected sex and used pull out method 8 days after missed period. Can i take an ECP? Since we dont have the morning after pill here, i have read some women take nordette in 2 doses as a form of ecp: 4 pills then another 4 12 hours later. This was also recommended by an OB to my sister before. My question is, can i use this method with the Daphne pill? Daphne is a safe pill to take for breastfeeding moms.

hi..
so here is my scenario:
kpapanganak ko lang last may 13. nag karoon na ko ng june 16 gang june 21, di ko alam na first day pla dapat  ng mens mg start taking ng pills (TRUST ang binili ko).
So ganito nung june 23 we had  an intercourse ni hubby, withdrawal sya once lang, natakot ako so I immediately bought pills nung june 27 (4 days nkalipas kasi  di makalis bahay wala pg iwanan k baby) then tinake ko yung #1 pill nung gabi ng 27, too late kasi after ko maatake saka ako ng research online. lol. found out na di pala advisable na ilang days na after mens ka mag start. then the next day june 28 nag karoon ulet kami ng intercourse ni hubby, same withdrawal at once lang, i know na dapat ng restrain muna ako from doing it, kaso sabi ni hubby withdrawal naman daw, but mas alam ko na yun yung method na pinaka unsafe sa birthcontrol.
After that since alam ko na baka fertile na ko nung june 28, search agad ako sa google ng ECP, the nakita ko dose ng trust pill, 6hours after nung sex namin ni hubby i decided to take  yung #2,3,4,5 sa pills na binili ko, and yung #6789 naman 12hours after..

so ito tanong ko po..
1. CAN I CONTINUE TAKING YUNG #10 PILL SA JUNE 29 NA GABI? THEN CONTINUE YUNG MGA SUSUNOD SA MGA SUSUNOD NA ARAW? O ITITIGIL KO NA AT TAPON NA YUNG TIRANG PILLS and WAIT MY PERIOD NA?
2. ILANG DAYS DO I NEED TO RESTRAIN HAVING SEX?
3. PAG NAG KA  WB BA KO, PWEDE AKO MAG START NG NEW PACK NG TRUST PILLS AND TAKE IT NA EVERYDAY?

i KNOW MEDYO mahaba and ang dami kong questions, a bit paranoid kasi, plus di pa ko fully recovered from delivery, i think emotionally and physically to conceive again this early kaya ganito ako ka paranoid. tsk. i hope my sumagot sa mga questions ko, i really ned your help ..
madaming salamat.

Be careful in using ordinary birth control pills as ECP. You need your doctor's advice based on you health history, the brand you need to take and the amount of dosage. ECP is not available in the Phils but according to this article (link below),  there is an alternative.
https://www.smartparenting.com.ph/health/your-health/emergency-contraception-morning-after-pill-philippines-a00041-20181127-lfrm

If you take the amount of pills mentioned in the article without doctor's approval. mao-verdose po kayo sa ingredient na nasa pills sa pagaakalang makakatulong ito sa immediate contraception na kinakailangan ninyo. Contraceptives are not made to serve a different purpose than what is stated on the product info leaflet. It was approved by the BFAD for the purpose it is made. Should you want to use it as an ECP, only your doctor can say.

If so happens na ovulating ka pala nung 23 (if you have a very short cycle) or nung 28 (kung normal ang cycle mo), magiging mababa ang reliability ng method na ginawa niyo at bele wala ang 1 pill na tinake mo nung 27 (check your package insert on why). I see that there was a chance you could have gotten pregnant na. As to how slim that chance is, OB Gyne niyo lang ang makakapag sabi.

To answer your questions:

1) Only your OB Gyne can say if you need to continue with the remaining packs or if you need to stop to determine if impregnation happened already. In your case, you need professional advice dahil siya lang ang makakasabi according to her years of study and experience as a doctor.

2) Since nag take ka ng sobrang amount, your OB can determine kung may effect pa iyon, making you safe. If not, ask your OB if you can apply the Mucus Method (a natural form of birth control) in determining your safe and unsafe days.

3) You can take a next pack of pills on the 1st day of your regular flow. Again, your OB will say if your need to start taking a new pack on the 1st day of your withdrawal bleeding (if you need to stop taking the rest of the 1st pack), or on your next period if she lets you finish the rest of your pack.

Sorry for not sharing with you a favorable answer. Hindi po kasi simple ang tanong ninyo for ordinary moms like me to answer. Please go see your OB for your peace of mind. You badly need it as a new mom. Hope everything goes well with you and your family!
