hi mommies! im looking for slings / baby carriers and happened to see this topic. questions po:

1) hindi po ba nangangalay un legs ng baby kung naka-indian sit style sila sa loob ng pouch?
2) for baby boys, hindi po ba naiipit un "birdies" nila like kapag naka-cradle style for BF or kapag naka-side carry sila?
3) i know some babies, like mine , are pawisin. hindi po ba sila madaling pagpawisan kapag nasa loob nun pouch? isip ko lang po kasi pagBF namin ng baby son ko , pinagpapawisan talaga siya. sabi po ng MIL, mainit raw un katawan ko kaya ganun.

My son loves the kangaroo carry and I get worried about his legs in "indian-cross". He doesn't complain but to be sure, I change his position or take him out of the sling for a stretch every 30 mins. Minsan nga nakakatulog siya in that position. I think it's different for every baby. Some are contented with side carry. My baby hated it. Gusto niya forward facing siya lagi.

Same goes for the question kung nakakasakang ang side carry. Get him out for a stretch every 30 mins. This isn't mentioned on the manual but for your peace of mind, even if the baby doesn't complain, try it.

Papawisan kaya ang baby? Yes. But same when he's in a carrier. Sling's material is lighter than a carrier so he won't get as sweaty unless he's wearing a thick clothing or out in the sun. For the sling-pouch. I haven't tried that yet. There is another type of sling na may pouch na.

Naalala ko, my son used carrier before, nawili kami kakalakad hindi na namin na change yung position niya, yung saleslady pa naka pansin na nagiiba na kulay ng legs ni baby

with my son, i bought carrier talaga kasi when he was 3weeks old, we always to go to the doctor (weekly) for the cast change due to his clubfeet)

Then i also noticed when he is in carrier for a long period of time, medyo nag-iiba ang color ng legs niya kaya i lift his legs para mawala ang discoloration.

i agree, we have to constantly monitor their legs, kasi they dont complain but it's our duty/responsibility as parents to ensure their safety, db?

I like using my Saya carrier but my grandparents hate me for using slings on my baby

ako den gusto ko yung Saya, nagustuhan den ni MIL kasi malambot and stretchy. i can do light chores with baby. kaya mo den ipasok sa bag mo kasi parang damit lang siya

i haven't give birth yet,i'm just 29 weeks preggy. i want to purchase a sling kasi i've read about attachment parenting and i found out about baby wearing. i'm really thankful that i found out about this thread,based on your experiences and feedbacks im really convinced to buy a sling. i really should get one now so that i can practice using the sling para hindi na ako mahirapan pag labas ni baby.

I like the Saya carrier best. Pero gusto ko din maghanap ng pouch na ok ang tela para grab and go na lang

hi mommies, im interested in buying a sling.. which would you recommend?

i looked at rjelly and next9's slings kasi affordable.. yung iba kasi mahal na.. ok ba yung mga brands na yun? or yung saya carrier?

hi mommies! if you currently use or think of using a baby sling, whether it's a ring sling or other types of slings, please check the 2 links i found below to help you understand what is safe for your baby and what is not. i found these 2 sites in my attempt to learn more about baby wearing. hope this helps some confused moms/ dads out there!

i found both sites very helpful and i learned a lot! eventhough i've been wearing the sling for some time now, madami ako natutunan. enjoy reading and please feel free to post here other sites that you've read that will help other moms. baby wearing doesn't just depend on your preference kung anung style iwewear si baby.. it also has a lot to do with safety. awareness is the key so spread the word! welcome sis glad to help ako rin eh i've been using the sling for some time but there are things pa pala that i didn't know and some positions pala that were not safe for baby.. buti nakita ko. i actually started to research kasi newborn palang 2nd child ko and di ko na masyado ma alala how to wear the sling pag newborn kasi 6 months na yung eldest ko when i started her sa sling. low and behold.. ang dami palang dapat malaman pa especially pag newborn ang baby.

haha kanya kanyang preference talaga sis  some parents think kasi na baby wearing is like a fashion statement na kahit panong way mo nalang isusuot si baby.. gusto ko lang sana is to spread the word na may health implications din kay baby kung pano siya naka position.
