Agree with mommy mommyjm, depende sya

- 1st time mom (walang experience at all) -
OLDER yaya
Pro: experienced, maaasahan, may matututunan rin yun first-time parents
Cons: matigas ulo, may sariling paniniwala or methed sa pagalaga

- newborn baby up until 1 year old - older yaya preferred rin kasi experienced na sila.
OLDER yaya

- 1 year old and up
YOUNGER yaya
Pros: masigasig, malakas kumain (i take this as advantage kasi importante may laman tiyan ng yaya para may lakas magalaga ng bata),  nakikinig (kahit ano sabihin mo gagawin)
Cons: depende sa makukuha mo meron iba nga siguro mahilig sa TV, or mag text.

I tried both and I prefer younger than me. Yong yaya ng baby ko date sa province older than me tas yon nga nakakahiya magutos kaya ako din gumagawa lahat (nagyaya pa ako?) plus the fact na nagmamarunong sila lalot alam nila na first time mom ka at sila madame anak. Yong 2nd nanny naman ng baby ko is older than me again. Mahilig din magtext. So yong pagtetext na yan eh wala sa edad  ;D.. BTW, the second nanny lasted a month lang sa akin  :( Currently bata yong yaya ng anak ko. 19 years old. Mas madali sya utusan at sumunod sa mga patakaran ko in dealing with my son. Hindi naman niya napapabayaan ang baby ko though I should say mahilig din talaga sya magtext at manuod ng TV plus gumala sa labas. Pero I do understand naman kase kung ikaw ba naman asa bahay lang so para hindi siguro sila mabord, they are finding ways na aliwin sarili nila kahit papano para hindi din sila mahomesick.

So I guess depende talaga yan sa personality ng tao pero based on experience mas madaming pros sa younger nanny than the older ones.

Una ko agad naisip is ayoko!

From new born to 8 months babies, pwede yung older yaya, around 35-45 yrs old. At least, get with an experience talaga para hindi ka rin mahirapan lalo na sa mga 1st time mother.

Pag mobile na si  baby, 10 month old to 1 year, they were very active and wants to learn how to walk na pwede nang kumuha ng mga nasa 20-28 yrs old na yaya para maliksi at mahilig makipaglaro kay baby.

Lalo na pag mataba.. kaya huwag na huwag kukuha ng matabang yaya be it young or old, mga sis!. : P

For me young yaya para makasabay sa energy level ng mga kids ko but for newborn babies I prefer older yayas, kasi marunong sila mag-alaga.

Kapag early 20s kasi ma-cellphone nga, tv, and need pa utusan to get things done.

Maraming Pros and Cons:

Young Yaya - Pros
-  they can keep up with the kids
-  they can move much faster
-  you can still teach/mould them

Young Yaya - Cons
-  no work experience / you need to teach them
-  ma-cellphone at times
-  easily gives up (walang ganang magtrabaho)

Older Yaya - Pros
-  experienced
-  if you trust them enough, they can watch over your child without supervision
-  mas marunong mag-alaga

Older Yaya - Cons
-  slower compared to the younger ones
-  ma-cellphone (who isnt nowadays)
-  can't run after the kids / might move slower
-  set in her ways/matigas ang ulo at times/hindi mo maturuan

it depends ..my mom said, never hire a yaya of your age bracket and beautiful enough to be a mistress, mahirap na daw.haha...never hire too old to be your lola kasi mahirap na daw utusan...so for us, yaya in their 30' s is ok...it depends pa din sa performance niya sa mga chores na naka assign sa kanya kung magtatagal siya samin :)

i just got a new yaya yesterday, wow mukha syang sexbomb mga sis. naka naila art, naka anklet, super ikli ng shorts at sikip ng top at big hairdo. pero naisip ko, its wrong to judge her sa appearance lang kaya i will try kung okay sya at gusto sya ng anak ko. she's 18 years old, from surigao. aba sumasama ang anak ko sa kanya. mahilig ata ang son ko sa seksi hehe.

Hello, I know this is an old thread pero nakakatuwa na hindi lang pala ako nakaka experienceng stress at kunsumisyon. I don't have kids but my dogs has yaya.

Okay siya sakin and she knows how to follow my instructions from meal preparations to feeding time pati paglilinis ng bahay. She stayed with me for more than 1 year then she went overseas.

Yung pangalawa naman, 6 months lang sakin. Nangungunsumi ako kaka cellphone niya. May call center yata hahaha. She's 12 years older than me.

May anak kasi siya na nag aaral pa. 😂
