I do printing jobs like tarp, invitations, etc. for almost 10 years.  No training required.  Just be creative and resourceful.  Medyo mahirap kasi I have 2 kids and most of my projects e kelangan ng time for layouting.

I am thinking of another part time job.  Next year my daughter will go to school and I'll be left alone by myself doing nothing but housechores.

My List:
Be an insurance agent.
Graphic Designer (part time)

or probably concentrate on printing which I am good at.

Sis hindi ako registered and its a part time thing (kung may project may project kung wala okay lang)
Maganda sis ang kita sa printing.
Sa bahay lang ako.  I send thru email yung layout pag approved, print ko then delivery or thru LBC.  I don't have any machines lahat subcon except computer and materials for cutting.

Hi sis trishevil! :)

I work through oDesk, mostly part-time gigs kasi gusto ko kontrolado ko pa rin time ko (yung walang shift-shift). :) I do mostly writing work kasi, so hindi kailangan magsunog ng sobrang oras talaga, pero siempre I have to adhere to deadlines. Kahit papano naman, manageable pa din....

Pros:
-Working from home means mas visible ako sa bahay, daily ang presence ko, so I'm there 24/7.
-Since part-time most of my work through oDesk, I work at my own pace, on my preferred time. :)
-Working part-time means mas may time pa ko madevote on other things, like starting up a business. :)

Cons:
-Since wala akong officemates, wala din ako masyadong social activities. Hehe. Family-related lang most of the time, saka old colleagues din.
-Walang bonuses, walang 13th month.

Para sa kin, lamang pa din ang PROS, just having more time for my family beats any monetary disadvantage. :)

Hi sis, depende talaga yan sa korsonada mo. WAHM din ako, we have a small tricycle business that I manage manually, tapos I also work online part time lang din pero independent contractor kasi ako, like sis KVsmommy I work din at my own pace, I love working especially on early morning kasi early riser ako after my daily morning prayers and me and coffee time alone dun na ako start ginagawa yong work ko before 6am comes kasi luto na ng breakfast.

I sell kasi not so used 2nd hand laptops among other things online kaya if la projects rest mode, dala ang small laptop sa school kung mag toddlers school and ballet class niya, ok lang din minsan kasi me social life na ako, meron na akong kaka chika for 3hours everyday aside sa mother in law ko...hehehhe

thank you mga sis sa reply..

ako kasi, may full-time work na ako pero since nasa regular time naman ako..iniisip ko na yung ibang time pwede ko gamitin to earn extra, hence the part time business..nagcocontemplate lang ako if I would apply for another part time job or mag part time ako na home based..mukha nga mas favorable kapag home based..

sis ahyzeyuh: maganda sis in the sense na it's another good source of income, kahit on a part-time basis lang. :) especially dahil ikaw naman pipili what jobs you apply for through oDesk e, and usually, stated naman sa job post yung number of hours na kailangan mo magwork and yung other requirements nila for the job. Kung may full-time job ka na, you can just go for mga jobs na 10-20 hours lang kailangan per week, para kahit after shift, matrabaho mo. Yung usual idle time mo before, puede ka na kumita. :) If you get hourly contracts pa, weekly ang pay-out, so may pang-supplement ka na sa weekly gastos mo. Or you can just treat your oDesk earnings as ipon, depende sayo. :)

Tiyagaan nga lang sa pag-apply sis, pero once sinwerte ka na and you get a job, tuloy tuloy na. :)

Hi sis,

to better answer your questions browse to the website itself  www.odesk.com, madami dun. basically gawa ka ng account sa kanila, fill up mo yong lahat ng kailanga, proffiles, experiences, and then take lots and lots of exams. and then yon na start ka na mag apply sa ano gusto mong trabaho dun na qualified ka.

i dont use odesk kasi for my online work lahat ng work ko is independent contractor ako kaya hindi ako dun ka masyadong updated sa changes.

I'm working full time on our family business, and part time ko ngayon yung online shop ko. Since nakaharap na din naman ako sa computer the whole day, I tried to maximize it. :)

KVsmommy: sis ano po ginagawa mo sa odesk?  and magkano po ang income mo dito for part time?

Hi,

Share ko lang din, I resigned from work after I gave birth last 2010.. mag 2 na yung baby next month.. hindi ko kasi alam na ganito ako ka praning pagdating sa baby..hindi ko kayang ipaalaga sa iba.. mashado akong maarte.gsto ko kasi palagi..tama sa oras ang pag kain ni baby..saka nun madalas sha sumpungin ng skin asthma niya.. so gusto ko.. hands on ako pagdating sa kanya..

nagpapart time din ako (online) ako naman freelancer.com nakakakuha ng projects.. meron din akong account sa odesk, pero siguro sa freelancer.com kasi ako unang nakakuha ng project kaya dito ako nag focus..tyagaan lang talaga sa umpisa.. kasi kelanagn mo din mag gain ng reputation or reviews from employer (stars) para mas mabilis ka makakiha ng project.. pero as soon as makakuha ka ng project at nakakuha ng magandang review from buyers.. hindi na ganung kahirap mag apply.. kasi mag bibid ka sa mga projects mga sis, madami ka kalaban sa pag aapply..minsan kinukuha kong projects graphics related (banner designs), internet research, latest ko project mamangment..nung una nakaka at least 4 hours ako per day ($6/hr-project management) which is ok na, di naman matrabaho saka bahay lang ako.. pero ngayon 1hr/day nalang ako, kasi wala na mashado ginagawa..

nagfranchise din ako ng vmobile( extra).. lifetime discount sa load including 300+prepaid products (1 cp+1 sim=load all networks).. nagpapaload din sakin yung ibang officemates ko dati.. so dagdag kita din.. at bukod dun since technopreneur ako.. may mga retailers ako (nagpapaload din).. kung saan meron akong override/percentage sa bawat pag load nila.. so may pumapasok saking pera kahit wala akong ginagawa..basta load lang sila ng load.. pag tumagal malaking tulong din para kay baby :)
