Hello fellow Moms!

I always thank God that I had a super safe delivery but what bothers me is that I have fallen asleep during delivery and I can't remember anything during the delivery. Is this normal when you undergo painless childbirth? Please help me ease my worries. Thanks!

Before I gave birth, two of my officemates told me they chose the "painless delivery" so they were asleep during delivery.  THey gave birth at the same private hospital. My OB didnt believe me when I told her about my two officemates bec you had to push the baby out if via normal delivery. Since it also happened to you guys, my theory is you were too tired and couldnt help falling asleep.  The nurses, etc. probably helped push the baby out.  In my case, I was awake the whole time.

What did your OB say? Try to ask your OB, she might be able to ease your mind too.

Ako hindi painless so I needed to stay awake to push.. The only thing na hindi ko maalala is yung after ng pag labas niya, hindi ko na sya narinig umiyak since I passed out na then when I woke up nasa recovery room na ko.. And based sa clock, about 2hrs na ko tulog nun.. :)

hi sis,

nung preggy ako kay baby nathan I ask my OB about painless kasi nga i was too afraid of the pain na dala ng labor.
I was afraid kasi talaga na mabuntis at manganak talaga. Pero she said ang painless hindi mo nalang daw mararamdaman yung after birth, yung process na ng pagtahi yun lang daw ang hindi mo na mafefeel, but the labor process mararamdaman mo daw yun kasi you need to push your baby out.

Siguro sa sobrang pagod din at hirap kaya bumigay talaga ko, we were in delivery room at 7pm lumabas sya around 2:45am na. then i woke up 8 in the orning hehe

Hehe

hello mga mommies and mommies-to-be! :)

would you go for a painless delivery or normal spontaneous delivery?

Ako kasi, for my deliveries, lahat painless ako.

Hi Chekai,

I will be giving birth in a birthing home (paanakan). Shiphrah Birthing Home, to be exact.

I chose that over a hospital because i wanted it to be as natural as possible. There is no option for painless there.

I was told that when you opt to have it with drugs (meaning painless), your baby might be a little affected by the drug too and be kinda groggy. You may also not be able to hold him/ her properly or breastfeed properly (or remember holding him/ her at all) because of the effect of the drug. :( It will knock you out, you know.

Because of all these, I opt for pain.

Hello sis Jan! :) good for you that you were able to hold your baby paglabas. I have no worry nor fear about the pain naman but in our place, wala kasi birthing clinic that offers a natural childbirth. The painless procedure was also the advice of the OB, though I have the option to say NO,but still, I heeded to the OB's advice.

Good for you sis...

I'm quite confused. Pag sinabi bang painless childbirth, it doesn't mean na CS sya?

I think we will still feel pain naman may labor pain di ba. Pero painless CS major abdominal operation yun so maybe we won't feel the baby coming out of our belly?  ???

@: jandenisev Saan yun Shiphrah Birthing Home? Curious ako dyan? Sino magpapaanak, midwife or my obgyne or doula lang? Para ba itong maternity hospital? How much fee mo dyan?

EDD ko is January 25, 2015. thanks!
