joining...

Ako naman nagka-uti during my 6th week of pregnancy. As in hindi ako makatayo at hirap ako maglakad. Im now on my 36th week.

^angelonack29: mommy you try to ask from your OB po. But I know of they do recommend the generics talaga due to the generics act/bill.

Good evening to all... Im now 5 mos. pregnant and last month nagpa laboratory ako then nakuha ko yung result this week lang sabi sakin ng OB ko may UTI daw ko.

May infection ka sis which means kelangan gamutin else baka maapektuhan kidneys mo.  Wala ka bang tiwala sa OB mo?  Kung wala ask for another opinion (from another doctor).

Last month ka nagpa check e bakit this week mo lang nakuha result e yung urinalysis in 4 hours or less alam mo na at makakaramdam ka ng hirap sa pag ihi, lalagnatin ka pa at magsusuka o diarrhea.  If you don't have those symptoms then hindi UTI yan.......??!???!!??

Sis prenatal checkup should be done monthly and as regular as possible.  Minsan kasi so sobrang kampante ng mga mommies na okay si baby at hindi nila binibigyan ng time may possibilidad na dun magka problema si baby.

Ingat sis and also your baby.

Sis, if may tiwala ka sa OB mo, I think you should take those meds..para sa inyo ng baby mo un..mas mahirap if di ma treat ang infection..saka alam naman ng OB yung mga need na gamot na di makakasama kay baby..I try mo din po i google yung gamot para makita mo kung para san gamit at kung pwd sa buntis..nagka UTI din ako sis nung preggy pero pinaliwanag naman ng OB ko na though magtatake ako ng ganung gamot eh safe siya for the baby..Trust your OB sis..ang nangyari sa friend di naman ibig sabihin mangyayari din sayo :)..God bless...wag ka basta magtake ng herbal..

trust is very important in a patient-doctor relationship sis, if wala kang tiwala sa OB mo then  find another one...UTI, if left untreated, can damage your kidney and it may also affect your pregnancy (premature contractions/labor etc)..your OB is the best person to know what medications are safe for pregnant women..di ka naman bibigyan ng gamot na makakasama sa pregnancy mo..don't rely on other people's advise regarding herbal medicines na walang scientific basis at all to prove na it can cure UTI esp now that you're pregnant, coz di mo din alam kung anong possible effect nun sa baby..

Hi sis! Meron din akong UTI now and pinag take ako ng Cefalexin 500 mg 3 times a day for 7 days ng OB ko para matreat yung UTI ko. She said na pag daw di kase namin ginamot yung UTI, it can cause abortion daw. Sabi naman ng asawa ko na pharmacist, Cefalexin is very safe for pregnant women so okay lang naman i-take yun. Naintindihan ko yung worries mo, actually before I take it, nag research pa ko sa Google kung talaga ngang safe yun or kung may side effects. Thank God naman wala akong nakitang mga bad side nung gamot and I also saw some fellow moms who took the same medicine nung pregnant sila and normal naman baby nila.

@MommyMEE, ask your doctor to prescribe a different brand or medicine. Kung dadaanin mo sa natural like water theraphy, matagal gagaling at malulunod sa ka tubig, mas delikado yata yon. Hindi dapat binabalewala ang UTI when pregnant. Pwedeng umabot sa baby yung infection so treat it ASAP.
