im a pro sis-
naniniwala ako na my magandang maidudulot  and bagong ra sa pagsugpo sa my crimen on the net.

nothing to be scared about libel case, or losing freedom of speech and expression, kasi ang taong nagsasabi ng totoo and walang malice kahit sang court man umabot, hindi siya matatakot..

about losing internet connection if found guilty--
for me buti nga ganon. bakit bibigyan ng net connection ang taong hindi responsible sa action niya. this has been long practice sa ibang bansa...  i used to take complaints about customer losing net connection, but after further investigation, un pala nagdodownload sila ng music or videos which is bawal.

its about time na matoto naman sumunod sa tama.

Ako rin. Na-ge-gets ko naman na yung point nung mga gusto siya pa-amyendahan kasi what if gusto ka lang sampahan dahil na-offend sila dun sa ni-like mo na post kahit hindi mo alam yung story behind the post?

This should remind us to be watchful and responsible of what we post and share online. hindi yung mura lang ng mura at bully lang ng bully.

May libel na sa periodiko at sa radio and TV. That didn't stop people - broadcasters from speaking their mind. mga mga opinion based programs pa rin naman di ba?

Pasok na pasok dito ang think before you click!

Sabi nga nila, Type words "daw" in Jejemon or Baby talk hahah kamusta naman yun?

Kung sa tingin mo, wala ka naman nade-degrade with what you do online. No fear tsong  ;D

Again, IMO lang po. :)

I'm a PRO sis, yes agree ako sayo sis preciouslara about sa penalties ng holdap, rubberies etc.

this is also a wake up call sa mga fanatics natin na mamayan to be mindful of their informations, anong sinasabi sa mga social websites. I am more concerned on the privacy concerns ng ibang internet users sa lakas ng hackers and illegalities around the worlds this will also help in restraining too much information.

sis kissablesam ... nothing is permanent in this world ika nga, like friendster way back, im sure aabot din ang time na magsasawa ang tao sa facebook. there are many social sites din that is gaining more and more attention and subscribers.

ang problema sa iba is they think that what they say already is an insult to the person, or family etc. bec. they think tama sila and they should speak their mind, forgetting to consider if the people who reads are interested ba talaga o gusto lang makisawsaw... anyways yon lang.

hay naku mga sis, super agree talaga ako, kaya lang naman maingay itong issue na ito kasi in our world today we use a lot of computer based gadgets, internet, its like a necessity na talaga, pero to think na mas marami pang mga problems na dapat mas bigyan ng pansin diba...ngtataka talaga ako sa laki ng penalty dito, come to think of it,yung mga carnappers, holdapers, snatchers after mahuli, mababalitaan ngpiyansa tapos mahuhuli ulit, why? kasi mas  malaki yung kinikita nila dun sa ginagawa nila kaya kahit mahuli sila may pampyansa sila then babawiin na lang ulit nila yung ginastos nila repeating the same crimes...dis is more serious ryt?.? haiisst...

katuwa naman sis KClaire, pink ballpen talaga.hehe...sana lang mapatupad nila ng maayos tong batas na to,naiisip ko din kasi baka mgamit tong law na to for the benefit of others para mkapanlamang ng tao, para hindi mailantad yung totoo, tuwing my negative na sasabihin, ano crime agad paninirang puri na etc...pano kung my comment ka lang about sa isang situation or sa isang tao, pero somebody take it offensively they can sue you for that na? or how about  ano yung under dun s cybersex issue nila, siguro kung someone do it for earning money consider siyang crime, pero how about yung mga tao na gumagawa nun who is married or in a relationship,or who do it because they want to is that even a crime, diba dapat nsa rules yun nung mismong website kung ano bawal, like skype, they should post  na cybersex is strictly prohibited or you can do it knowing the risk na baka kumalat yun sa net, so kung gagawin mo yun, ikaw bhala...so pano un, is dat a cyber crime?na puwede kang idemenda ng authority pag natrace nila na ginagawa mo yun?diba parang they invade your privacy na? siguro yung identity theft din s social media na you use someones identity para makapanloko or manira ng iba, siguro yun crime or yungpag hahack or kahit anong act na may masama kang intensyon siguro yun pwedeng  ipunish, pero pno yung mga napost lang na shinare mo din kasi in samway eh agree ka s nkalagay, crime na din kung merong iba na hindi sang ayon dun, hay, dis republic act really need a lot of study before implementing...binabasa ko pa nga lang, ang dami ko ng questions eh...

ANTI :)  It's good that the law seeks to prevent child pornography, spamming, identity theft, etc.

BUT e-Libel? It's okay now that the administration is kind (PNoy kaya baka valid yang "kapag wala kang sinasabing hindi totoo, kahit sang court makarating ay wala kang dapat ikatakot". Paano if it's an admin like GMA again? GMA ay kung ano-anong interpretasyon ng batas ang ginawa para masunod ang whims niya-and yes, kahit some supreme court justices cannot be trusted to push for "justice" .

And mommies,if my kinky vids or pakitaan over the webcam (lalo samga long distance rel) kayo ni hubby at maligaw yan sa net, mukang cybersex ang definition nyan. so ready na to go to jail?  :P

(1) Cybersex. The willful engagement, maintenance, control, or operation, directly or indirectly, of any lascivious exhibition of sexual organs or sexual activity, with the aid of a computer system, for favor or consideration.

"For consideration" in legal terms means money or stuff.

Basically it means if you want to cyber with your girlfriend,it's not a crime, but if you want to have the online equivalent of phone sex on a 900 number, it is a crime.

read this from an article, really curious about this cybercrime law... :)

^^

Sige let's say kumalat yung video ninyo kasi na-save or whatever, what protects you from people who would like to share the videos?

Lahat naman may trial and I think being married or being in a relationship with the person you're doing it with is valid dahil walang money involved.

I understand that the terminologies are vague at this time... pero hindi ibig sabihin na non-sense yung batas.
Yes kailangan pang ayusin yung ibang articles. pero mas maraming mabuting magagawa yan than bad.

feeling ko kulang lang ng pag eelaborate yung ibang part ng republict act, then yung iba naman eh nasobrahan sa pag saklaw nang mga dapat eh under lang dun sa certain section...i really think na this law could really be of help kung maiimplement nang tama kasi it can protect yung mga copyright etc...pero tutol pa rin ako sa penalty, parang kelangan baguhin pa yun...sana ireview muna nila ulit bago iimplement and hope they consider the benefit of the people..or isabay na lang nila sa election and let the people decide.hehe :)
