Day Care Center
« on: October 10, 2012, 07:10:57 pm »

Mga mommies, do you think it's a good idea to put up a day care center?  Give me your thoughts, ideas, opinions...and what else you have...By the way, day care meaning like the day care in the US, not like here in the Philippines.  It's where you can drop off your babies and children while you do something or go to work.  And the babies and children will stay there for about 8-9 hours.  The day care will not teach anything but will just look out for your precious angels.

Gusto ko nyan mommy! Maiwan ko lang si baby kahit 3 or 5 hours para makapagspa or massage ako. Pero kung iiwan si baby for 9 hrs tapos 5 days a week para mawork, no no ako, kasi baka sa dami ng inaalagaan ng nagbabantay sa day care hindi mabigyan ng pansin yung baby ko. Saka baka awayin sya nung ibang bata. Kawawa naman. Heheh

Mommy Morefun, i like your idea.wala pa yatang ganyan sa pinas. Dito sa japan ang start nila 1month old- 5yrs old. Bale 3 rooms- babies room, toddler,pre-school. 6am-5pm ang operation ng school. Sa morning, magbreakfast ang mga kids. Then circle time, kantahan nursery rhymes.. Study accdg to their age bracket.dito safe naman kaya may outdoor activities din. Punta sa park or tabi ng beach. Kung may space, pwedeng mag lagay ng pool during summer or mga bike para super enjoy ang mga kids.then lunch, after lunch nap time up to 3pm. Yung mga maaga magising na kids, ihihiwalay sa mga tulog pa. May play area sila, indoor pa din.tapos snack.then while waiting for their parents para sa sundo, may mga school activities na gagawin like drawing, coloring etc... Yung ibang daycare may tv sila pero mas ok kung wala kasi ang tendency manonood lang ang bata all day sa tv.maganda pa rin kung interaction with teachers and classmates pa din.ang mga caregivers ay called teachers.as in mas ok kung teachers tlaga kasi alam nila ang gagawin, ituturo at pagpasensyahan mga kids.mas okay malaki ang space mo para hindi sila halo-halo at trained teachers talaga.cpr child/adult and first aid certified.

Putting Up A Day Care Center/ Drop In Center
« Reply #7 on: July 05, 2013, 04:32:11 pm »

In other countries it's called a day care center, but here in the Philippines, the government termed it drop in center.  I've been wondering, thinking and dreaming of putting up a day care center.  With the Kasambahay Law and the topics I have read in this Yaya Forum, I think it's time na.  I'm thinking of a center, where mommies can leave their babies/ children behind without having to worry about anything.  At least kung sa center, moms don't have to think about food for yaya, toiletries for yaya, what yaya is doing, electric and water bills going up, maid's room for yaya at marami pang iba.  I'm thinking of a place where mommy will bring her baby for a few hours or for a long period.  What do you think mommies?  I'm working right now in Makati and I am always wondering what my yaya and baby are doing in the house.  I'm always praying that yaya will take good care of my precious angel.  Any feedback is appreciated.  Thanks! ;D

Hi mga mommies!  Sorry, hindi na ko nakapag reply.  Naging super busy ako.  My daughter is two years old na and she has a yaya but I'm still thinking about that day care business. Thanks for your feedbacks!

hi mommy morefun, were thinking of the same business, mukha kasing papatok especially with the kasambahay law existing now, feeling ko mas safe ang kids with a day care than with a yaya alone in the house. be sure lang sis na yung mga kukunin mong tao professionals, reliable and trustworthy kasi mga bata ang maiiwan, and i think sa business na to, ito pinakamahirap hanapin unless may mga kakilala ka na, kung meron na sis, pagaralan mo na sis para maka go ka na, for sure sa ngayon siguro hindi pa ganun kapatok yan kasi wala pa naman talagang ganyan dito, halos mga playschool lang na kelangan pa din ng yaya or guardian na kasama pag maliliit pa talaga ang kids..malay mo sooner or later mag boom na ang ganyang business dito ikaw ang magiging pioneer hehe..hayz sana kami din, dami pa kasi namin inaasikaso sa ngayon ng friend and future business partner ko  :) and torned pa kami between nail spa and this day care or drop in center..

Thank you so much mga mommies sa mga feedback niyo.  Nabibigyan ako ng lakas ng loob para pagisipan at magresearch pa tungkol sa pagkakaroon ng daycare center.  Nagreresearch pa rin ako mga mommies....sa susunod ulit...please don't stop giving your feedbacks.  Thank you so much!

Mga mommies who are interested to put up a day care center, I suggest that you partner or ask help from organizations that provide day care services like Arugaan. I heard that they have provided consultations and staff training to some organization that put up workplace child care services. My 2 kids, 2 month old and 2 year old, had very good experience when they attended Arugaan in PIA. They learned healthy eating habits. They eat vegetables and don't like junk food. Na-wean namin from the bottle feeding yung panganay and our bunso never touched a feeding bottle. :)
