I used avent breast milk storage cups. I would express milk, place it in the cups and place the date I pumped.

That way I could keep track of the time. After two weeks and I haven't used it I throw it out.

hi mommies.. i would like to ask kung safe bang gamiting storage ng breastmilk yung feeding bottles? Working mom kc ako and I have to express my milk sa office.. ok lang ba na sa feeding bottle ko ilagay tapos ilalagay sa ref, then pag kailangan na ni baby ng milk papainit ko nalang yung milk niya.. safe b un? please help mommies.. thanks..

Hi,

I used to do the same thing. I just make sure that when I put it in the feeding bottle and freeze it, baby will drink in the next 4-6 hours. Kasi if longer than that I would notice that the fatty substance of bm sticks to the bottle (although I think it's normal that the fats separate themselves from the milk when frozen, I personally don't like it coz it seems bm is losing its substance  ) What I did to correct that, I bought storage bags from eBay (at that time kasi I was in Australia and Babies R Us weren't selling such). Now that I'm in Manila, I checked Baby Company in SM and they have storage bags for P300++ 25 packs na. It's a good investment and safe for baby =) Another option is milk tray, check mo na lang if Baby Company carries it.

Hi! im a working mom also and ebf my 6mos. son, i purchased milk storage bottles from pigeon and bebeta, pero kapag kulang na bottles I also use feeding bottles niya minus the nipple pero sa ref ko lang nilalagay and for consumption din niya within the day. I find pricey kasi yung storage bags and I read na less sa risk of contamination if dun sa bottle na nakastore then change the cover nalang with nipple. I hope this will help.

May tanong lang ako. I've read a lot of articles on storing BM peroconfuse pa din ako sa smell ng BM kung panis na siya. Minsan kasi yung BM ko pag-amoy ko siya may konting sour smell pero di naman foul yung odor niya. Pwede ko pa ba ibigay sa baby yun?

Hi mga sis, may alam ba kayong brand or store where I can buy medical freezer or 2-3 cubic ft freezer where I can store my BM? I'm a working mom too and exclusively breastfeeding my son. Nalalakihan kasi ako sa 4 cubic feet na freezer and I'm also considering the space and electric consumption. TIA!

Yes it is safe as long as you are using BPA-free bottles

Hi sis! Parang maliit ata ang 2-3 cubic feet. I am using a 6 cubic feet upright freezer. Ok naman ang electric consumption. I bought it off ebay.

Choosing th storage options for your breast milk depends on how long you need to store your milk before planning to give it to your LO. If you plan on storing it on the freezer, it is best place it on a storage bag, if you plan on refrigerating it, just keep it on a bottle.
