I gave birth sa SLMC August 2008.

There's this thing called Social Service ata. Pati yung pedia nung baby nila.

Hi,  my question is not related sa pregancy or giving birth.  I just want to check kung may CHARITY sa St. Lukes-BGC.  My daughter has Congenital Cataract on her right eye and she needs to undergo operation asap.  The doctor in St. Lukes quoted us 100k and i'm not even sure if it includes everything. our HMO will not cover everything.  I plan to reach out sa PCSO, I just want to know if St. Lukes has a social welfare department that will help us sa fiancial side pr naman maka discount.

@ gie_812
Sis Try niyo magtanong sa PCSO if they will provide assistance, in most cases they dont offer monetary assistance if naka private hospital and patients, specially st.lukes.. yung mom ko nakalapit lang dati sa PCSO kasi cancer patient siya and under social service ng st.lukes

Yung name ng charity ng st.lukes is social service..
yung ward is just a room accomodation. yung rate ng ward runs around 700- that was january of last year.
Kahit hindi ka member ng st.lukes charity, pwedi niyo pa rin avail yung ward. the only difference kasi, if member ka ng charity nila malaki ang discount.

To be part of social service you just need to visit them as early as 6AM or earlier kc first 100 patients lang ata tinatanggap per day- that was last year, di na namin alam ang process ngayon kasi na revoke yung membership ng mom ko

Dami requirements if you take part of the social service. CI, interview etc.
Yung entrance ng social service is sa likod not on the main entrance.

Anyways, I found an this sa google regarding St. Lukes Social Service Ward.

Those who are referred and admitted to SLMC will be treated as part of the hospital's medical training program

The assessment and recommendation of qualified program beneficiaries will be determined by the Social Services Development Department headed by Teresa Mariano.

Certain diseases or cases are, however, not covered by the agreement, such as outpatient procedures and consultation, communicable diseases like tuberculosis, medico-legal cases, psychiatric cases, maternity cases except those that need extreme medical attention excluding caesarian cases;

Diagnostic executive check-up with confinement, hematological cases with blood transfusion, cosmetology and plastic surgery, chemotherapy and cardiac surgeries and patients admitted as private cases.

Hi,

Here's the update regarding the Social Service in SLMC.
For Pregnant mother requirements: Ultrasound, CBC, Blood typing, Urinalysis, picture of your house (inside and outside of the house; kelangan yung picture sa labas ng bahay covered mula bubong hanggang lupa), utility bill and if working COE or payslip, the 1x1 picture. And you should not be 20weeks pregnant. Then sa registration may initial interview, pwede na kayo dun magtanong kung ano yung ibang requirements or kailangan pang dalhin. then after that i foforward na kayo sa mga doctor for initial check up. Then after that i schedule kayo for Social Service interview and orientation.

Nagpapa check up pa lang kasi ako dun ngaun and I'm 17weeks now. alaga naman nila yung mga patient. And kpag PRE TERM na kayo (or kabuwanan) priority kayo nila sa check up.

ONE suggestion lang, bukod sa money for fees and food, mag baon din po kayo ng PASENSYA, kasi minsan mahaba yung pag aantayin niyo.  :D
