Ako kasi I apply them kaagad.
Para tapos na.

I immediately pay for their contributions too!

pero since the law is enacted, I think I read na dapat magstart ka ng contribution after 1 month e

hello mommies!

Just want to ask, kung magpaalam si yaya ng vacation on holidays, will they still get paid?

Pero malamang, mag apply dito yung general rules for overtimes and holidays.

Hope to get feedback from you and have a good day.

Mga sis, effective na ba ito?  Wala pa ang implementing rules and guidelines (sabi ni Ted Failon) and the sample contract that will come from DOLE?

Sis Errych, is the downloadable contract in the article the one from DOLE na?

Saka question po:  What if yung kasambahay ang ayaw ng SSS?  Ang gusto is i-convert to cash yung SSS and Philhealth niya?  Pwede ba yun?  What could be my protection in case I agree para di niya ko balikan later on na di ko sya binigyan ng SSS at Philhealth?

IMO, whoever drafted the HH belongs to the upper middle class or higher pa.
Re wanting cash instead of SSS, I think hindi pwede, kahit gumawa ka pa ng waiver. Baka kasi balikan ka later kapag biglang nangailangan yan and desperate na.
Share ko lang: i think it would be difficult for the govt to monitor its implementation. may companies dyan na di nagreremit ng SSS pero more than 20 years nang nag-ooperate.

@violet.crumble: RE: contract. The sample contract from the article: A Primer on the Newly-Enacted "Batas Kasambahay" ,
http://www.smartparenting.com.ph/home-living/about-yaya/a-primer-on-the-newly-enacted-batas-kasambahay/page/4
serves as a guide for us employers but ofcourse you can go ahead and copy the contract, there's a blank template also which you can easily use. This contract is of course bounded by the enacted "Kasambahay Bill" but not from DOLE.  :)

I found out that DOLE is seeking feedback from netizens regarding the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Kasambahay Bill.
The draft of the IRR is posted in the DOLE website (see below):

http://www.dole.gov.ph/files/Draft%20IRR%20of%20RA%2010361%20as%20of%2014%20March%202013%207pm%20(For%20Discussion).pdf

My source is this:
http://www.pia.gov.ph/news/index.php?article=231365397930

It would be good if SP Moms can take part in this... :)

I think even most kasambahays are intimidated by all these paperwork.

Lalo na yung me employment contract pa - some maids just leave at a moments notice, or leave debts behind. Some won't honor what they sign.

@ sis brightasday,

This happened to me last week lang and i wanted to share it.

Yung maid namin na bago, dumating na may konting ubo.  After a few days, napansin ko parang lumalala.  Pati 3year old na anak ko, nahawa.  Soon pati kaming mag-asawa may sakit na, even my 5 month old baby.

Based sa Kasambahay Law, as employer, i have to give my maid 1) medicines 2) sick leave with pay.

What were those lawmakers thinking?!  Superwoman ang mga middle class employers?!  Palibhasa, marami silang pera pang sweldo ng higit sa isang maid kaya di nila kailangan gawin yung trabaho ng maid nila pag nagkasakit yung maid.
