Hello, I'm a Newbie here in the group. I came across this group noong nag -reresearch ako about ABA Therapy cost dyan sa pinas. I am currently working here sa UAE as an ABA Paraeducator, Learning Support Assistant and pursuing my career as an RBT/ABA Therapist. so, I was just wondering po sana kung magkano cost ng therapist sa pinas per hour. I am planning to go back sa pinas and mag for good na and continue my chosen career and help both the parents and the learners. I saw the thread na di masyado nag fofocus ang goverment naten sa ABA and I saw one post na ayaw nila sa ABA kasi magiging robot or something about parang dog daw yong bata(correct me if mali po yong nasulat ko.) I used ABA method sa mga learners ko. me positive reinforcement at negative reinforcement na tinatawaga sa ABA, I always used positive reinforcement pag nagawa ng learner ko yong task niya, like their fave food or toys or extra time but that reinforcement will fade soon enough na independent na yong learner. ok naman po yong outcome. siguro po kulang lang ng knowledge and training yong both nanays and teachers. balak ko po sanang i-continue yong Tutorial center ko dyan sa pinas and gusto ko po malaman if how mcuh yong cost ng mga center dyan para naman po maging affordable sa mga parents yong mabibigay kong services. Maraming salamat po and sana po tama yong mga nasulat ko dito sa reply ko. thank you po in Advance sa mga mag - rereply.

Hello po Teacher B. To give you an idea, therapy rate here in the Phils is around P550/hour or session sa isang therapy center. Rate varies for every center. That does not include Admin fee, purely teacher's rate talaga. MAs mataas ang rate if home therapy. This rate is for OT ans ST, not sure about ABA but but guess is hindi naman nalalayo ang rate (I hope someone can reply to correct me on this).

Centers I know has a rate of P650-P725/session which covers teacher's rate and admin fee per session. Not everyone can afford regular therapy and there are few therapists here in the Phils so kadalasan puno na ang slot sa centers. So we need more teachers like you.

Do update us on your progress in your search for a center. BY the way, if I understand you correctly, how do you teach ABA online?

Hello Mommy Jazz,

Thanks for pointing out po. I do online booking po then home sessions po. Sorry po namali lang po construction noong sentence. 😊 More on Tutorial po muna kami both non-disabled at person with disabilities. Pero mostly po I used ABA for both. I am trained and Certified po naman in the field. So, i guess i can offer lesser fee para ma afford po nila mommies but assuring them na their kids are in good hands. 😊

I cant wait to go back home and start my new journey. I will try to provide po trainings for all the nanays and carers para po ma-enhance din at mas maging aware din po sila.

Yong mga centers po ba naten dyan is supervise by a BCBA or BCaBA? Para po kung sakali magpapa-supervise na din lang po ako sa kanila. 😊

thanks po!  :-*

Hello again! As I mentioned, marami ang hindi maka afford ng therapy dito sa atin. I salute you for wanting to teach the parents so this way, they do their own sessions at home with their kids as they can not afford a regular session. I can not answer all your questions as I'm just a parent who regularly sends her child to therapy (OT, ST and now social group).

What I know, rate for home sessions is 1K, which is more expensive than sessions at therapy centers. As for shadow teachers, there is a great shortage of occupational therapists and speech pathologists, even ABA therapists here in the Phils. Nadadagdagan naman every year whenever schools (and there a a few number of those) releases new grads pero many of them opt to work abroad so kulang na kulang pa rin. Because of the shortage, many parents would just settle for a regular teacher, or newly grads (of Educ) to hire as shadow teachers of their kids.

I hope some of those info can help you. I wish you all the best in your good plans :)
