New Pregnant Employee
« on: December 21, 2012, 01:07:02 pm »

Hi Mommies, need some advice. Bagong hire lang ako, I think 3rd week ko pa lang on this new company then I recently found out that I'm pregnant mag 3 months na. I don't have any hint since I don't experience pregnancy signs. \ Is there any ground na pwedeng gawin sakin ng company once I told them about it. I was planning to tell them next january 2013 pa.

hi sis ganyan din ako :)

first work ko pa un :)

and nasa probationary period ako nun which is 6 months nun malaman ko na preggy ako.
i think its my 4th month na as a probi.

dahil unang-una, American Company kami at walang discrimination samin,

e sila pa ang nagalala sakin na baka nahihirapan ako or what, napapagod bako sa work namin..

@marheyceldan Hay medyo nakakaworry nga un sis pero wala naman magagawa boss if things like that happens syempre you already have a family. Ako nga, i think they know I'm single and walang dependent but actually i already have my daughter. Single mom ako then gkaron ng bf then ayon nabuntis at magkakababy ulit. Lahat ng team ko dito puro lalaki pati boss ko so I am also worried din pero I guess the truth will set us free. Pray na lang tayo kay Papa God that everything will turn out fine. ;)

:) smile! merry xmas..

Hi mga sisses!

Update lang, I already told my heads and hr. They say that I can work pa rin as long as na kaya ko and good thing I haven't experience iyong morning sickness. :) Thanks sa lahat ng ngreply dito! You are really a big help for me.

Been in this situation sis. During the hiring process nga hindi ko talaga open up yung situation ko. Then what he asked to me is "Since you are pregnant, what are your plans? Are you still going to teach after you gave birth?" So parang sinigurado niya na I'll stay after I gave birth. Then nung nagpamedical ako, hindi na pinarequire yung xray.

Siguro sis depende sa nature ng work mo. Kung pwede ito sa buntis or not. Pero mas maganda nga na sabihin mo at least they will be informed regarding your status at the same time para na rin sa benefits mo.

Yes sis, I already told them and I'm happy naman for the affirmative result. Un nga lang, ako magproprocess ng paglalakad ng SSS benefits since walang staff na gagawa pero ayos na rin kasi i know they are concern with me. I can do my work naman since all day lang ako nakaupo at nakaharap sa computer. :)

I was 1 month pregnant when I signed the contract with my current employer. Before signing, the HR asked me why I was not able to undergo the medical xray, I told her that I am pregnant. I was expecting a negative reaction and a discussion na babawiin ang job offer. :)

This was explained to me before by our accountant kaso years ago na yun sis :D Nakalimutan ko na. I had browse the SSS website, qualifications and sample computation were presented. Here's the link sis --> https://www.sss.gov.ph/sss/index2.jsp?secid=53&cat=4&pg=null

Scroll down up to the bottom of the page sis, may clear example sila. Basta alam mo na yung delivery schedule mo, you can compute.

i believe there is nothing wrong with being pregnant even when you are just newly-hired.  otherwise, that would be discrimination against pregnant workers.  unless, your job entails work description that would endanger your pregnancy, then i guess you could sort this out with the management.

good thing, your company understood.  God bless on your pregnancy
