hala...di ko alam...na bawal mag-bar-beque. inis! sa labas naman nag-ihaw eh, at malapit sa door....pampalubag loob ko na lang, di pa naman ito ang 'tamang' new year ---- sa chinese new year na lang kami ako mag-aamend ng list. kelan nga ba yung chinese year?

we had these last new year:

maybe we could make a thread about chinese new year, essentials? hahaha. blooper ko talaga yung inihaw thingy. di ko talaga alam. ang naiwasan ko lang yung 'chicken' meal, pero the inihaw part, hindi.

chinese new year menu:
1. fish -- my bestfriend said, they needed 'lapu-lapu' to signify prosperity? tama ba?

we had fruit salad and fish lumpia lang...  dami na kasi naming na attend na party, kasawa kumain..

may fruits din pala kami, bumili ako ng madaming orange kasi favorite ng anak ko...

for new year's eve, we had the ff:

di kami masyado naniniwala sa pamahiin, that's why meron pa ding chicken, and di din namin sinunod yung 12 kinds of fruits

kami din mapamahiin family namin... pro smen 13 naman...13 kinds of round fruits, 13 pcs. of grapes ihahang sa lahat ng doors ng house.then cotton balls naman sa lahat ng windows.we also prepare 13 kinds of dishes every year...

@sweet&spice, yes, lapu- lapu din fish namin pag chinese new year for prosperity daw...mooncake,tikoy,fruits na bilog pag chinese new year at kung ano anong pampaswerte na pedeng mabili sa ongpin...hehe.

i guess its about time na celebrate din namin ang chinese new year. for the past 3decades of my existence never pa kami naghanda during chinese new year hehe 

what we had last new year
pork siomai

Toasted bread

chicken curry - wala lang siya sa table and altar kasi bawal nga manok =)

desserts:
leche flan
fruit salad
chocolates

for the pamahiin
12 to 13 fruits both on the altar table
