Mommies, how many weeks or days are the allowance for expired foods? Like for example a bottle of nutella with expiration date of April 2013?

Hi mommy unica hija...better sana na kung expire na eh wag na i consume, especially if opened na. kung unconsumed pa before the expiration date, pwd kasing maiba na yung lasa...para sure sis wag na lang i consume :)...though madalas kong nababasa na hindi naman expiration yung nakalagay sa mga product kundi parang best before date...

I'm always looking out for the expiration dates on our bread most of the time. If there's no mold yet, I think it's still safe to eat, but go with your gut feel also. For eggs naman, you can test on water if they're still good. Third grocery item I give importance to BBD (best before date) would be fresh milk.
