Pandemic Anxiety sa mga Bata?

Hello Everyone!  I am currently looking for a good grade school in Makati where I can enrol my six-year old daughter.  We're not from Manila so we're not familiar with the schools' teaching styles or kahit feedback lang from Mommies out there.  Hope you can share with me your experiences and recommendations, para makapag-decide rin kami.  Thanks in advance Everyone.

^ How much sis ang tuition fee sa St. Anthony Montessori for Grade 1?
We might move back to my grandmother's house sa Palanan, so medyo malapit yan sa amin.
Nahihirapan kasi ako maghanap ng good school for my son e. TIA!

hi mommies,

can you please give me some feedback on CGF Academy of Learning and Leadership?

we went here last Friday and my daughter passed the assessment test for grade 1. what i like about them is their low student-teacher ratio and their medium for teaching is English. also, i learned that their curriculum is traditional and progressive as what one of the teacher told me and they don't give lots of homework to students. can you please share your experiences with this school? like how's their teachings, how are the teachers, and etc. hope you could help me mommies. thank you!

CGF academy is a traditional school with not-so-traditional curriculum. Hindi sila progressive although maybe some of the teachers can incorporate the method in their system of teaching, it does not completely follow the progressive method. Yes, they have a low student-teacher ratio. Pagkakaalam ko hindi aabot ng 20 students per class. If mataas ang enrollment count, they will put up another section, huwag lang dumami ang students per class.
I was one of the parents who brought the assignment issue to the Principal. Dati the teachers just give assignments needed for their study not knowing that other teachers would give heavy load of assignments too. Ngayon oriented na teachers to check with co-teachers before giving long assignments. I can't say with other classes or teachers pero sa class ng anak ko nasusunod ito.
It can't be compared with big schools like Don Bosco and International schools, pero with their curriculum, medium of teaching (english), christian values, lalo na tuition (they even offer 30% discount to early enrollees, (deadline May 3 yata), masaya na me. ;)
BTW sis toni,  my bunso will be incoming grade 1 din, diko pa napapa assess. Ano mga questions binigay sa anak mo? Mangongopya lang ako ng answers, ;)

Hi mommyjazz,

thanks for the info. grade 1 din yung son mo? baka maging classmates sila ng daughter ko. yes, until May 3 yung may discount. about sa exam,  yung oral ipapabasa nila ng mga sight words to check kung talagang marunong na. yung written naman about telling time, days of the week, phonics, meron din may picture tapos underline yung tamang sentence for example in the picture there is cat in the mat. sorry hindi ko alam anong tawag dito. meron pa din pictures  pero i forgot kung ano yung instructions like kung i-arrange ba in chronological order. yun lang naman, hope hindi ka na guluhan sa mga sinabi ko. hehe.  :D

*There will be mark up prices for both levels. Maybe around Php 300. 00 daw according sa principal.

I forgot to ask the ratio in the class. :(

My two boys are currently enrolled for summer program at St. Therese Makati. I hope I can see progress sa kanila. Also, the fee pala at St. Therese is Php 26, 000. 00. I forgot what are the inclusive items for this.

Hope to see feedbacks sa mga mommies na ang anak ay nag aaral sa St. Therese and St. Anthony.
May boys are quite shy. Hindi pa masyado nag interact sa class nila. 3rd day palang tomorrow. It is their first time to be in school kase.So I think mas helpful sa kanila ang progressive. As I can see parang more of a traditional approach ng St. Therese.
