hi to all mommies  ;D i am a christian mommy and i need a christian school sana for my kids. ok lang if catholic pero if meron lang sanang christian school na super ok, doon ko sila ieenroll. i heard of the meridian international learning experience in mother ignacia. its near, its super ok BUT..... the tuition is high. ok sana if tuition lang. but i heard of the development fund that is 40k...i heard pa na non refundable na yon if my kids will stay der until dey graduate. refundable if dey trasfer to other school. napaka laki parin since i have 2 kids. kahit per family yung 40k. der tuition reaches to 80k per kid then plus 40k per family. am i correct o refundable yung 40k kahit mag graduate na sila? thnks mga moomies.

hi mommy jemz26

i'm a meridian mom of 2 girls, both in pre-school. it's true na pricey nga ang school fees but it's all worth it! meron naman sila mga terms of payments din and the 40k developmental fund is also payable in terms. curriculum is at par with other international schools and no questions about the christian values that are being instilled to the children.

I'm not an active Church member, I don't even get to sit and participate in a service kasi I always accompany my kids to their sunday school. Nahihirapan mag adjust ang bunso ko sa class niya so I have to stay with him for security reasons na rin. Baka kasi lumabas ng Jr. worship room at nang church grounds without me knowing, mahirap na.
I know I'm missing a lot every Sunday. Nasa church nga ako pero parang wala. At least I'm trying to build my kids' Christian foundation. I try to make up by learning from devotionals.

I was referring to CUMC as our sister church when I posted this (9th paragraph) from
http://www.smartparenting.com.ph/parentchat/index.php/topic,1016.msg8756/topicseen.html#msg8756
1)Yesterday, Lolo and Lola opted to attend sunday service at our sister church. When my daughter heard of this, she asked "Is the sister church a girl with ribbon on top?"

We're Methodists din. My FIL (who passed away last June) is a Pastor.
I recently got my own pocket Bible I read with my small devotional whenever I get a chance. Kaysa naman puro chismis magazines sa waiting room ang basahin ko.

Manila ang church namin but not CUMC. We get to attend when Hubby can drive us but when he's out of town, we just stay home kaming magiina. I tried taikng my kids to a different Christian church makaattend lang kami ng service. Nice, warm and friendly naman sila but I still like UMC. At least my kids get to enjoy the sunday school regardless kung UMC or any Christian church. Nahihirapan naman ako to take them to Makati UMC. Oh well....

^Hi sissies! I'm glad may ganito palang thread. Victory Festival Alabang kami na-attend ni hubby. I'm not yet "baptized" as Christian but by faith "I am" Because I have already accept Jesus Christ in my life. Gusto ko nga sana magkaroon na ng cell group. Anyone here who's from Victory. Medyo shy type talaga rin ako sa personal kaya nahihirapan akong mag-approach :)

@pinkyviolet: May group ka na sis?

to all born again Christians: we just feel discriminated...
« Reply #103 on: September 21, 2013, 02:30:34 am »

this is my story... i was married to a canadian guy 4 years ago and we split... i met a new man (my live in partner right now) 2.5 years ago... i still have him and with him in the same house... i am baptized as catholic but i used to go to born again church since i separated with my ex hub... i want to go to a christian/born again church now... i wanna get baptized and be purely a born again christian but there is this church who doesn't wanna accept me simply because i have a live in partner... so it went ok with me.. i just read a bible everyday... pray and pray and pray,,.. but today my live in partner went to her aunt, seeking for work... this aunt is working with a christian/born again publishing company and they didn't accept him simply because he has a live in partner and he has a baby with me.. i was teary eyed... i dont know... i just feel so much discriminated.... we feel so much discriminated... me and my bf/live in partner/father of my child or whatsoever you call that,... even typing this message.. im crying... is it soooo bad for my live in para panindigan niya yung anak niya... is it so bad for me as a mother to keep my child... ahhh... this thing is really hurting me alot...

iamsheymareie I merged your post here. Are you divorced with your ex? Hindi ko kasi masabi if the issue is you being separated (kung divorced, walang prob) or living with a partner. Yes you are a Christian and maybe even more blameless than others but you need to respect Church and corporate policies about marriage legality and stuffs, though it's in the conservative side. To ease the tension, talk personally with your church minister. Ano ba ang requirement nila sa pag accept ng members nila? Magiging issue ba kung hindi ka pa married (or re-married)? Will they choose not to accept you or lead and be a guide (as you are seeking their guidance) to your family regardless kung ano ang structure niyo ngayon.
As for getting turned down for a job, consider it as an ordinary rejection. May policy lang na sinusunod yung publishing company. If you will explain to the employer and lay down your personal story, on how you came to be like this and your Christian belief just to get the job, it would be a long story to tell you wouldn't want to go through, besides, the job may not be worth it. Dami pang opportities diyan.
Just keep the faith. It's the enemy working trying to prove that being a Christian will get you nowhere. Will you choose to give up?
