Suggested Hotel in Manila and their affordable rates
« on: February 24, 2013, 02:32:05 pm »

Hello,
my husband's friends are coming here in the Philippines by summer. I don't know which hotel I should recommend to them once they are arrive here in Manila. Yun pong me breakfast included, preferably  malapit din sa mall. Your suggestions would be a great help. Thank you.

not so sure about their rate mommy dianne kasi hindi ako nagbabayad everytime we go to hotels, and alam ko puwede ka na din mag book online, dun na rate nila...anyways good hotels that i know na super near sa hotel are edsa shangrila, very near sa shangrila mall and megamall (richmonde hotel, tried it na, walking distance lang din,ok naman, breakfast included and medyo cheap siya around 4 thou ata for a deluxe room), pero recently mas gusto ko sa marriott hotel, very near sa resorts world (newport mall) and lam ko madami din hotel around that vicinity and very near sa airport :)

thank you  sis preciouslara...hindi ko kasi alam if maselan itong mga dabarkads ni hubby, last year dun sila sa oasis park hotel kaso umayaw na sila kasi nga most of the customers there are aussies + during at night there were some hookers going to that hotel.
Kami kasi ni hubby pag mag shopping kami sa divi, dun kami sa manila grand opera hotel.

I'll look dun sa marriott hotel, nag pplan kami ni hubby  this summer kasi nga d pa kami nakakapunta sa resort world.

Hello :) For guests not too fussy about not so new hotels, you can check Linden Suites in San Miguel Ave. in Ortigas. It's very near Edsa Shang, Podium and Megamall. Near Richmonde Hotel too, as previously suggested by preciouslara :) Full suites from 1-3 bedrooms, great for big groups and families! Tried and tested na namin, with friends and families for a couple of times :) http://www.lindensuites.com/

You can also check New World Renaissance, just behind Greenbelt :) http://www.manila.newworldhotels.com/

I would suggest Ascott. Most of the expats working in Makati live there because they can cook, they have laundry service, a gym plus it's convieniently located at the heart of Makati CBD.

Mommy Dianne, maybe you can check out go hotels.  Saw their website and its modern and the price is cheaper compared to other hotels.

You may want to check out asia travel's crazy rate.  Based on the reviews I have read these are actually very good hotels at discounted prices.

Recommended hotels I have tried:
(a) MOA area - Microtel (the hotel also provides an hourly shuttle to MOA)
http://juvyann19.blogspot.com/2013/03/microtel-mall-of-asia.html

(b) Ortigas - BSA Twin Tower (this hotel is at the back of SM and right next to St Francis Square - a good location for pasalubong shopping), Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn are often my top choices (the hotel is linked to Robinsons Mall), we also like Legend Villas (near Robinson's Pioneer)
http://juvyann19.blogspot.com/2012/09/holiday-inn-galleria-birthday-weekend.html

(c) The Fort Taguig - F1 Hotel (they have discounted rates for certain card companies - up to  40% if I am not mistaken)

If you have a credit card, you can check out hotel-credit card tie ups. Dont be afraid to ask for special rates.

BTW, if they will be here long, ask for long stay prices, this is often cheaper.

My family would often just rent a service apartment or a condo in the Fort or Makati for P30K-P40K you can have the place for a month.  This is by far cheaper than staying in a Hotel.

Check out this link http://www.fortbonifaciorent.com/?gclid=CI7F6OLQ1rUCFSMl4god-QIApQ

I hope this helps!

that is great.  Suggest also that aside from looking at the websites of the hotels, do also checkout some other reviews/blogs about these hotels.  the blogs usually have pictures so you can easily see what you are looking for.

Happy hotel hunting :)
