Hi Sis!

El nido is nice pero para sa akin medyo hassle siya for infant- toddler. medyo mabato and matutulis kase yung mga corals.dagdagan pa ng mga sea urchins (black). medyo masakit pag nakaapak ka  So, highly advisable ang naka aqua shoes or any protective footwear,

1. The usual to-bring items: sunblock, extra water. pica pica or merienda kase nakakgutom pag sa beach. pamalit ng bata.bring floaters kase yung ibang bangka walang lifevest na kasya para kay chikiting. You'll have to carry the kid every time na bababa kayo from your banca during the island hopping.merong mga island na kailangan mo talagang languyin para mapuntahan mo. kung hinde ka maruong lumangoy, stay na lang kayo ni baby sa banca.

2. If you have the budget, van rental kayo. para exclusive and super comfy. control niyo yung mga rest time and stop overs. 5-6 hours land travel po kase and merong mga part na rough road.
other option: Meron din pong pila ng mga shuttle van or yung AC na RORO bus.(cheapest)

3. Most popular tour: a and c (set ng islands na pupuntahan). meron ding nagoofer ng combi a and c:overall safe enough for toddlers. extra challenge nga lang ang peg.  ;)

Enjoy your trip to Palawan! :-)

I agree with Mommy @boppie, medjo mahirap nga magsama ng toddler sa El Nido, best age (kids) to explore the place na talagang ma-e-enjoy and ma-appreciate nila yung place, I think, 09-12 years old :)

From the Puerto Princesa City Airport – take the tricycle till San Jose Terminal for the Shuttle going to EL NIDO , travel time is around 20-30 minutes.

Puerto-El Nido Shuttle Schedules are as follows:

Eulen Joy -          13:00 // 18:00 – 0926 699 8700
Lexus         -         14:00 // 17:00 – 0917 585 9612

Fares are around 600 per head and travel time will be around  4-5 hours

However, in absence of of shuttle service you can try RORO BUS at the same terminal, last time I went there fare is about 485.00 for the airconditioned bus and they have 17:00 trip while the last trip will be at 22:00.

Check this link this will give you a glimpse of the hotel available along with the price range

http://www.lakwatseradeprimera.com/el-nido-accommodation-guide-for-hotels-resorts-and-cheap-lodges/

If you want the cozy and private ambiance check the hotels and lodges around Corong-Corong Beach. You may opt to go to Cadlao Beach Resort or Entalula.

Should you want to mingle and meet a lot of people then book around the town or beach area. I suggest you may want to try Ipil Lodge or the Bulskamp Inn or Treetops or Alternative Inn.

If you arrive in the evening or early morning I do suggest to book ahead  especially if its peak season (October-May). Most of the inns and resorts are willing to accommodate. Numbers are provided on the link below.

Resto in El Nido you may try

“ART CAFE” nice place to have breakfast (the only place that accepts credit card)

“ALTROVE”  hand -tossed italian pizza and you’ll love the ambiance.

You can also try “SQUIDO” for fresh seafoods.

GUIDED TOURS ranges from 700-900/ head (note could be higher now this was the rate in 2013) , no need for private tours instead just join the group so you can also meet some people. You need  to pay Php 200 environmental fee per head that’s good for 10 days. Tours includes lunch just don’t forget to bring lots of water, chips, camera, sunblock and lots of  FUN!

Tour A  - Small and Big Lagoon, Miniloc, Shimizu, Secret Lagoon and 7 Commando
Tour B – Entalula Island, Snake Islang, Cathedral Cave, Lagen, Pinagbuyutan island
Tour C – Hidden Beach, Matinloc Shrine, Star & Secret Beach and Helicopter Island
Tour D – Cadlao Lagoon, Paradise, Pasandigan, Natnat and Bukal beach

Spurs Travel & Tours – 0917 303 3590 or 0921 462 6655 - some of the tour operator includes the snorkeling mask free of charge on their package or they will charge 100-150.

Some tour agencies may also arrange scuba diving activities and even private camping of an island. You may also want to try fun diving and its way better than snorkeling or the aquanaut.

You may also want to try the inland ATV haven’t tried that but I think its fun.  Or you can also rent a dirt bike or mountain bike and discover the inland beaches. I don’t recommend you swimming on the beach near port instead walk around 15 minutes going to the airport or the corong-corong area.

Hello Mommy,

My Husband and I just been to El Nido last week, :) So far what i can say is yung tour ay hindi pa recommended for toddler kasi hindi pa nila maeenjoy and tama sila matutulis ang mga bato/ corals duon. dapat may aqua shoes sya, sunblock , Off Lotion for mosquitos sa biyahe naman 6 hours ang biyahe from Puerto Princesa i suggest mg Van nalang kayo 500 each. sa Airport naman may ngooffer na and to set your expectations food in EL Nido is a bit pricey.

So Goodluck and Enjoy Your vacation! :)

Hello Mommies. :) I recently went to El Nido with my hubby and our 5-year-old daughter who loves to go swimming.

Things to bring:

The following were my daughter's must-haves during our trip: Sun block, hat, rashguard, aqua shoes, mosquito repellent lotion, Cetirizine syrup (for allergy) and Paracetamol (in case lagnatin). We also brought our own kiddie life vest for our daughter.

How to get to El Nido:
From Manila, we took a Cebu Pacific flight going to Puerto Princesa. From Puerto Princesa Airport, we rode a Eulen Joy van going to El Nido. We paid for the whole row of seats right behind the driver's seat for maximum space and comfort.  My daughter was able to lie down and sleep most of the way. It took us 6 hours to get to El Nido from Puerto Princesa airport.

Tours:
Our tour provider was RR Travel and Tours. We booked our tours via Ipil Suites El Nido. We did Tour A and Tour C. We all had so much fun! El Nido is really beautiful. Lunch was also delicious.

My 5-year-old daughter's reaction:
Enjoy na enjoy naman yung daughter ko sa parehong tours. Even sa snorkeling sites, join pa rin yung daughter ko. Enjoy na enjoy sa tubig. The tour guides were also always ready to help. Laging naka-alalay sa bata. :)
