« on: March 29, 2013, 08:40:03 pm »

hi mommies curious lang im having a hard time choosing which toy would i buy for my baby boy.. ::)  im thinking.. if useful ba talag, makakatulong or magagamit ba talaga ni baby.. torn between vtech laptop or leapfrog leapad and the likes.. mybaby loves to write altho puro lines pa lang naman but everytime he sees a pen or pencil he would hold it as if marunongna talaga sya. kaya i  decided to buy aquadoodle mat.. pero wala pa sa ngayon padating pa lang nextweek ;D most of his toys are balls lang mahilig talaga sya sa bola.. ilang cars and animal stuff toys.. yung ibang toys na gift sa kanya nung mag 1year old sya hindi ko pa pinapagamit.. sa ngayon kasi i wanted to expose him sa toys na matututo sya.. nagtitingen tingen ako ngayon thru net.. at nahihirapan ako magdecide if magiging useful nga ba talaga hehe thinking if i would buy the techie ones.. or yung learning tables, like leapfrog yun kasi ang mostly nakikita ko. kailangan ba talaga ni baby yung mga ganung laruan? o excited lang ako magkaron sya ng ganun para matuto? sana may mga mommies magshare ng experience nila..  ;D thanks much in advance ;)

Hi sis! Ganyan din ako before after i gave birth to my daughter. I bought a lot of educational toys but nasira lang.

If you really want to buy toys, i recommend K's kids na toys. Soft toys na educational. My daughter has the shape shifter house and she loves it. Btw sis, my daughter has the vtech learning table and she didnt actually learn from it. Gusto lang niya pipindutin but thats it.

Now that shes almost 3, ipad na nilalaro niya. All educational apps like fisher price and the like. Hinay hinay lang sa pagbilu ng mga expensive toys kasi most of them hindi talaga magagamit ni baby based from my experience. Good luck sis!

I agree with sis aliya_liapot.

hindi porket high tech yung toys mas dun sila matututo. With my kid naman natuto rin sya sa brainy baby na dvds. Mas ok pa yung toys na would require interaction like puzzle blocks or iba pang toy. We have the leapfrog din kaso like lang niya yung sound.

Dun sila nagkukulay at nag dodoodle magkapatid.

From my experience with my two sons, the best ones are building blocks, wooden puzzles and shape sorters.  I choose din the buiding blocks kais kung wooden minsan heavy and these can hurt the baby (paghinahampas or throw sa kapatid).  Shape sorters are good for motor skills and since they are colorful, this can also teach colors and counting.  I know of an ebay seller who sells cheap wooden educational toys, I'll share the link here later if I find it.  Though small yung pieces of some so not recommended for babies on the oral stage (1-2 years).  You can check it out for later toys for the babies....

Better din kasi we as parents spend time with the babies while they are doing some activity such as drawing on paper, reading and playing.  I think babies love it when they are having fun with their parents.  And even on practical things, you an also teach them.  Like arranging their stuff, you point out the colors or putting the rubber mat together, count them... No need to buy expensive toys to get the kids to learn.  We just need to be creative. Hope this helps :)
