Hi mommies, don't know if you've heard of L.A.T.C.H.? They're an organization that helps moms who have BFing problems, and also accepts breastmilk donations.

This is their site: http://latch.sme.org.ph/
They also have a Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/theperfectLATCH

Hi mga sis,

This is my first time to post here sa Smart Parenting. This is really helpful for me, since dito kami nagkakilala ni Mixx.  ;D I'm one of the few here na may pre-term baby and I'm so blessed to get breastmilk from her. My baby's in Cardinal Santos Medical Center NICU for almost 6 weeks from now. And she's doing really great. Grower na lang siya. Buti na lang OK ang lungs niya and di niya kelangan ng ventilator or oxygen. Her heart is also OK, which is also a blessing. She is just small for her gestational age that's why she's being monitored there. Pag may time, I will share my pregnancy stories here, Incompetent Cervix kasi ako. More power to all of us here!  :)

MMC. PGH and National Children's Hosp are places where you can buy breastmilk. Do backread for more sources shared by Mothers who had gone throught he same situation.

Yes. I actually shared my bm sa pamangkin ko when she was still 5 months old. I pump at least 5 oz every night para sa kanya. Kahit na di ganon kalakas ang production ng bm ko i still chose to share it with her.. kahit na 5 oz per day lang mainom niya. Gusto ko talaga sya bigyan kasi may allergy sya sa cow's milk and 1 month lang sya na-bf ng mom niya (my SIL) kasi kailangan na niya bumalik sa work niya overseas. I shared my bm for less than a month lang kasi taas-baba ang production ng milk ko that time. I feel fulfilled kasi 2 babies ang napainom ko ng bm ko, my son and my niece. :)

yes, i did this many times. sa pamangkins and friend's baby. i give them pumped milk. one time kasi no choice na talaga at umiiyak na yung baby kaya nagdirect feed ako.

never naman nakulangan ang baby ko. our bodies can supply so much milk. hindi naman talaga alam ng katawan natin kung ilan ang babies e. pero the more time that you empty your breasts, the more your body produces. the more your body gives, the more it receives. just eat healthy para hindi rin magsuffer ang katawan natin.
