I would (and did pero hindi direct. I donated my milk). I learned that no matter how humane this act is, it is not advisable. There are ailments and viruses that can be passed on from a surrogate mother to a baby. A Mother having a type of virus can safely breastfeed her baby because they share the same immunity. A breastmilk donor does not share this same immunity.
I mentioned this to the mother of the sick baby I'm donating my milk to. OK lang daw basta wala akong TB (which I don't have). To be safe, the breastmilk must be pasteurized. PGH and Fabella lang ang alam ko na may pasteurization machine. I don't know if they offer this service to the public or only for breastmilk donated to their department.

When Makati Mayor Jun-jun Binay got widowed and his baby prematured, I wanted to donate my BM to the baby. That time I was still BFding my 2yo. Also at that time, I was donating to another prematured baby confined at PGH, hindi na kaya ng powers ko.

It would be easier to do adoptive breastfeeding directly. Mahirap mag pump, store and sterilize gadgets. Mas marami pang makukuha ang baby pag direct feeding.

If I could, I would donate my milk to other preemies who are in need. My baby's a preemie also, and she benefited from donated breastmilk as well. My supply was not sufficient then so I have to ask from other mommies who are so blessed to have an abundant supply. That was also the reason why I was able to find out about this forum. I googled lang on where I can get donated breastmilk, then this forum was one of the results. Now that I have established my supply, baby now breastfeeds from me  ;D I also donated 3 4oz bottles of breastmilk at Cardinal Santos NICU, where my baby was taken care of. Pay it forward...  ;D

hi sis, so sad to hear your little princess did not make it. im sure she's happy in heaven now, and watching over you. sis im also a mom of a preterm baby. sasha was born at 32 weeks. ngayon eto big girl na, super kulit na. 10months na siya. sis, i benefited also from donated breastmilk, when sasha was in nicu, mahina pa bm ko nun. try donating sis sa mga preterms din. mostly sa pgh madami preterms dun. sasha was admitted at cardinal santos, naghahanap din ako lagi ng donors dun. try contacting pgh sis, for sure madami dun naghihintay na babies sa mga kind hearted na gaya mo. btw, i donated din my bm sa cardinal santos nung lumakas na milk ko. a way of giving back. =)

If i had more time, I would definitely donate more milk. I could only do so for relatives and friends. I was able to direct feed my nephew one time because we were in another car and SIL is in another car and we were stuck in an unexpected traffic.

Sumakit dibdib ko dito :( I'm so sorry to hear this... I hope my reply is not yet too late, PGH accepts breast milk donation and they also do pickups.

When I was in Manila, I was able to donate my stash at PGH. Here in Singapore I only had the chance to share my BM stash to our family friend who went here for a vacation and is struggling with her milk supply. And eto nakakaloka lang kasi humihingi ulit sila and they want na ipasabay sa isang family friend namin who's flying over to Manila next week :P But okay lang since I need to free up some space in our freezer na rin.

Hi to all mommies out there. I gave birth to a premature baby (27 weeks) who is still at the NICU and is in need of breastmilk. My milk supply has not been able to meet his feeding needs and my breastmilk has been gradually dwindling and is now almost non-existent. I would like to ask if there are mommies out there who would be generous enough to donate their expressed breastmilk to my baby. I would be willing to do pick-ups or meet-ups as well. Please contact me at 0917-814-6613 for donations or you may PM me. Please leave your name, contact number and location so I may get back to you. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi maam, I already did, they too are in need of donations. Fabella and PCMC sells breastmilk but they dont always have supply as well. I have been able to buy from Fabella only twice but only very limited amount as they have lots of buyers and few donors as well. I just realized how precious breastmilk is and how much mommies are in need of it, whereas others have so much they dont know what to do with it. Thanks for the reply. :)
