Thank you.  :)

Hi sis! Like you, maiden name ko din ang nakalagay sa passport ko, kasi nauna ako nag-renew ng passport before getting married. So far, I have traveled out of the country three times using that passport, and I did not encounter any problem. Basta you use a valid ID bearing your maiden name. (Just this March, I went overseas and the immigration officer in Naia noticed sa insurance ko na married name ang gamit ko, so pinaliwanag ko na later pa ako nagpakasal. She asked for a valid ID bearing my married name, meron naman ako, so yun, nakalusot. So mas ok if you have both IDs with your maiden and married name.)

I just don't know about the kids though. I think you better bring the necessary documents (kids' birth certificate, marriage certificate nyo ni hubby, etc.) para iwas-hassle. Maybe you can obtain an affidavit stating your case, just to be sure.

Hope this helps!  :)

If the name of your kids on their passport is the same on their birth certificate, wala pong problema yon. The problem lies more on getting them a passport like if they changed their surnames na may acknowledgement of paternity pa. But if you already have the passport made. I don't see any problem.

Hi Sis.

Always bring a copy of your kids birth certificate and marriage contract as well with you when traveling.  You can renew your passport even if hindi pa expired... but if course, extra charge lang yun sayo.  This will also lessen your worries when traveling or presenting IDs.

Usually, the immigration is strict when it comes to the children -- avoiding na tinatakas yun bata especially hindi kasama yun biological father.

If you have all the necessary NSO documents, I don't think you'll have a problem because the officers will just need proof that these are your kids.  Though, you may consult with a lawyer because as far as I know, the kids are illegitimate even if they carry your husband's surname & has paternal consent during birth because they were born prior to marriage.  (I may be wrong... best to consult a lawyer).  If you have the resources, its best to have your kids' birth certificates changed/corrected, have all your IDs including passport changed to your "married" name and authenticate all legal documents -- by doing this, your kids won't have a hard time in the future when they need it.  Oh... make sure the names and spelling are correct.

Good luck! Be Blessed!
