While Preggy: What's Your Beauty Routine?
« on: August 03, 2013, 10:58:44 pm »

Hi mga sisses! I am currently 19 weeks preggy and starting to feel ugly. We are all aware na pag preggy we should be careful with beauty products that we use. I had been a fan of hair coloring, rebonding, whitening products, face creams and nail polishes before i got preggy kaya it had been hard for me and my self esteem na ang daming bawal bigla. Currently this is my usual daily routine since first trimester:

AM:
Dove bath soap, witch hazel and arbutin soap sa face (i break out pag stressed sa work or puyat kasi), cyleina BP soap sa UA to prevent darkening, HHN Sunflower Oil sa tummy and back area to prevent stretchmarks, Olay Natural White Moisturizer with Spf 15 and Nivea whitening deo. Pag naalala ko i put Morocan Argan Oil sa hair ko while still wet. Then cheek stain, nivea lipgloss and mascara lang and im off to work

PM:
Same lahat except i use Sunflower Oil also sa UA after taking a bath. No moisturizer or anything sa face and hair

Dati i use Beauche for the face and Amira naman sa UA kaya hindi ako sanay na ang bilis na lang ng nightly routine ko now hehe. Sipag ko pa mag hair dryer then plantsa ng hair dati bago pumasok (short bob hair ko) now wala na talaga styling at all. Ang panget ng hair ko super kita na regrowth kasi bawal daw haircolor and rebond so super tinatamad na ko tuloy. Hay. Share your beauty regimen naman during pregnancy mga sis. Maybe we could learn from each other to stay pretty even while preggy :)

hi sis...when I was pregnant the first thing I asked my OB is kung allowed ba ako to use make up :) and she said yes naman...always ask your OB lang kung gusto mo magpa color ng hair etc...pero I think di naman sa bawal kundi they just want na medyo i delay natin ang mga ganitong regimen...eh since 19 weeks ka naman na I think pwd na yan....nung preggy ako first trimester akong di nag toner, I use dove soap specially sa tummy area, tapos madaming lotion talaga..lucky me di ako nag break out tulad ng ibang buntis ;)..I think its with the hehe...moisturizer for my face every morning and evening...

naku sis wala talaga ako nilalagay na anything sa face exept for Olay kasi bawal daw my harsh chemicals like hydroquinone, retinol, etc.

Buti kpa sis ako ngpimples sa chin area since nabuntis huhuhu. Anong lotion mo sa tummy? Nagkastretchmarks ka after giving birth?

Baka my alam kayo let me know hehe

Grabe im scared of the upcoming changes waaaah!

Hi sis, I'm currently pregnant and right now, I'm using VCO (virgin coconut oil) ng Prosource. So far ok naman siya, I was hesitant at first because of the smell kaso mabilis din naman pala mawala and ibang klase siya mag moisturize ng skin! I have sensitive skin sa face and sa first trimester ko ang dami kong pimples..Tried almost everything kaso nag work lang talaga siya sa VCO. use it as your daily moisturizer. You can buy it in any Wantsons or Mercury drug stores.

I prefer not putting anything on my face, let the skin breath(suggested by my doctor too). As for any party, just like to put simple moisturizer and my plus size overalls for comfort.

I can't use just any otc products like when I wasn't pregnant. Kahit normal soap that we buy sa grocery it makes me too itchy. SO my friend got me an organic rosehip soap and oil and so far yun lang ang soap na hindi ako nangangati. Baby products like the one in j&j yun milk+ rice water based is a really good moisturizer. hubby massages my feet and legs with that. I don't brush my hair that much and I put it up in a bun.

When going out I can't put on make up so au naturel lang and flowery dresses msot of the time. Positive outlook always!

Tapos pati under arms ko pa nangitim. Nakakashock talaga!

Huhuhu. . I also asked my OB kung anong beauty products pwede kong gamitin.

Sa make-up naman I use VMV lipstick saka eyebrow liner. :)

Hello, mommies. Last year pa tong post na'to but nag sasakali lang na ma-read ng iba.I just want to share my experience. Yes, virgin coconut oil has a lot of benefits. I have 3 kids, and all of them, nung nag pregnant ako sa kanila, i was using virgin coconut oil sa tummy ko. And now, kahit isang kaunting stretch marks sa katawan ko, wala. And now that I am not pregnant, I am still using virgin coconut oil as face moisturizer, body scrub, pati sa babies ko, instead of lotion, vco yung ina-apply ko sa skin nila. Mas safe pa kasi walang harmful chemicals. Since we are motehrs, we should be aware sa mga harmful chemicals brought by baby products in the market. We should refrain from using products with paraben especially sa babies. By the way, we were once supplying vco to Prosource before,if you want mommies to use vco to your daily needs, pls let me know. We are selling vco, I am only giving it in a lower price since kami naman yung nag ma-manufacture. We are located in Metro Manila. We also accept bulk orders. And we can do meet up/pick up/delivery within Metro Manila or outside. For faster transaction, pls contact me at 09332343999 / 09258991123.

Hi Mommies!

I think it is not so much the product or brand but rather the type of ingredients that your skincare products contain.

There are certain ingredients that you should avoid during pregnancy, like hydroquinone and retinol. There is a lack of studies to guarantee the safety of using these ingredients during pregnancy so it is best to avoid them while you are pregnant.
