my baby's head naman when i gave birth, medyo pahaba.. i guess nabitin ako sa ire kaya ayun.. medyo obvious nga eh pero in denial ako.. hahaha.. everytime may pumupuna dati sa kanya, sumasama ang loob ko, maybe mother's intinct na, bakit ang baby niyo ba perfect?.. hahah.. suplada ano?!..

ang sabi sakin ng mama ko, every morning daw eh hilutin, haplusin para bumilog which i did naman.. kaso minsan nalilimutan ko.. they also advise me na pagsuutin ko daw si baby ng bonet para bumilog which i did not do, kasi feeling ko maiines lang si baby eh.. so yun, pinabayaan ko lang pero minsan pag di ko nalilimutan, massage ko naman.. so far, kahit hindi naman continues yung aking paghaplos sa ulo niya, kusang bumilog at umayos.. i do agree with moms here na kusa na lang siyang aayos, yung sa pag higa naman mommies, gat maari try niyo ipalit palit - side to side si baby kasi ang tendency is maflat yung likod, yung magkabilang gilid.. try niyo siya patulugin sa hotdog pillow para di niya mamalayan na iniikot or nililipat niyo siya ng puesto..

Ako naman share ko sa nio bout my son.
My Jakey has craniostenosis. Maaga nagclose yung bumbunan niya, ang result turricephalic ang shape ng ulo niya. parang may patusok na may bukol sa tuktok ng ulo.. kaya ang hair cut niya lagi mohawk lang...
eto lang ang up to now hindi k masyado maaccept for my son.. in denial pero accepted n rin pero parang hindi fully.
he was born via cs so perfect shape ang head even alaga sa pagsleep niya nun baby cia, napansin lang naman mga 8months na cia..
we visited a neuro-surgeon and underwent CT Scan of the SKull c jacob.it's the longest day of my life. waiting for the results and interpreted as that.
It's genetic daw, not normal but my son is quite above average (feeling lang naman) over mga playmates niya same age.. to correct the shape of thea, a brain surgery is needed. iopen yung skull then paghiwlay yung sutures para me space, pero ayaw ko nttakot ako... parang corrective lang naman pero un nga lang iba shape ng head niya. hindi naman halata pag may hair and sa haircut niya..

yan yung naging pagkakamali ko.. napabayaan ko na sa isang side lang lagi si baby.. kasi pag binago ko, iiyak ng iiyak.. kaya hinayaan ko nalang muna.. pero ngayon sinasanay ko na sa left at right pero lamang parin dun sa may flattened area..

i think the doctors opt to have your baby operated is to have room for the brain to grow kasi maaga nagsara yung bumbunan ni baby mo.. yung bukol na sinasabi mo, mommy e dahil sa yun yung way ng skull to compensate for baby's growing brain..

Yup yup i googled everyhting bout it, asked the pedia and those concern.. jacob is perfectly bright cute lil baby un lang nga sa craniostenosis niya.. it's a dilemma of putting him back sa OR after he had hernioctomy. so hindi nalang.. regular check up and CT Scan daw.. even yung isa referred doctor mgt lang is ganun ang cnbi.

mga mommy, medyo kakaiba yung shape nung bunbunan ni baby ko...he's 7 wks old..uhmm heart shape yung sa bunbunan niya...normal lang kaya yun?

mga mommies. magiging round ba ang shape ng head ni baby habang lumalaki sya? my baby Enzo flat din yung sa likod ng ulo niya, di ko kasi natatagilid dati..

@euqin08: sis, ganan din problem ko sa baby ko, hes turning 6months old on wednesday, flat pa din ulo. kc dapat habang bata pa daw na train ng patagi tagilig, nung 4months ko na siya na-ganun kaya eto medyo flat ulo niya pero hindi naman ganung ka-flat. (semi.haha)

my baby's head is kinda distorted din. hehe. i mean he has a side preference. whenever he's asleep he uses his right side. we used to put barriers for him to turn left pero he manages to get away with it especially at night! he's 3 months now and so far medyo naayos ang shape. sana lg makuha pa sa massage at d masyadong obvious na pngit shape ng ulo niya. hehe

ako rin, pahaba ang ulo ng baby ko kasi naglabor ako ng 8 hours, then emergency c section din ang nangyare.. what i do is imassage kasi napapansin nga ng ibang tao na malaki yung head, at hindi proportion pangit tignan,, beside sa massage , try mo din yung lampin ibilog mo siya na parang donat. tas dun mu iunan si baby.

i'm lucky to have my mother take care of chloe when she was a baby. she was so particular with baby's head to the point that she turns her head to the other side every hour or two when she's sleeping para talaga di ma flat. and di namin sya pinagamit ng unan. but dont worry mga sis, pwede pa ma correct ang shape ng ulo nila kasi malambot pa yan. my suggestion is to use the pillow na donut-shaped, or to turn baby's head from side to side from time to time when he's sleeping.

Flat din head ni baby dati when he turned 6 months i bought a pillow at Rustan's at around 2500 to 2800 ata yung price so far ok na yung head ni baby ngayon bilog na bilog na... hehe

Yung baby ko 11 months na, ngayon ko lang nanotice na lopsided head niya. Mas mataas sa left side kasi sa left side siya lagi nakaharap pag natutulog.  Sobrang worried ako, minamasage ko nga e. Pano kaya yon? Papantay pa kaya yung head niya? Napansin ko lang nung pinagupitan namin siya last week, in preparation for his birthday necxt month sana. Hayz, wala pa naman siya sched sa pedia niya ngayon, next month pa.

My son's head din is flat haha. Well, the pillow that was supposed to help prevent flat head syndrome didn't work. But oh well.
